Philips HDD6330/17 30GB MP3 Player (30GB Internal Hard Drive)

Philips Electronics' GoGear 6630 portable media player is possibly more gorgeous than an iPod. The 30GB hard-disk player has an attractive black-and-silver finish and a sharp, big LCD for viewing photos and album art. At $280 (as of 7/21/06), it's...

Lots of features ; Attractive styling

Difficult to use ; Below-average audio quality

Style and features are the Philips GoGear HDD6330's main strengths, but ease of use and audio quality could be improved.

Beautiful design. Good sound quality and earbuds. Voice and FM recordings are clear.

Sometimes-slow interface. Bulky proprietary USB cable/charger combo. Battery life could be better. Line-in recording requires optional dock.

This is an ultra-stylish MP3 player with a broad feature set but an interface that leaves a bit to be desired.

Philips GoGear HDD6320

Philips' original 20GB music player, launched in 2003, really caught our imagination. Its sleek lines and distinct black casing made it stand out from the iPod crowd with a fashion statement all its own.

A triumph of style and simplicity. The only criticism we have of the gorgeous GoGear HDD6320 is that we'd have liked a marginally larger display to enjoy our photos as well as our music.

Philips GoGear HDD6320 Jukebox (30GB) review

The stylish and feature-packed Philips GoGear HDD6320 Jukebox is the closest that a WMA-compatible model has come to capturing the iPod's design appeal, but try the touch-sensitive interface before you buy

Good sound ; Stylish design ; Intuitive touch-sensitive interface ; Photo-friendly colour screen ; Support for WMA DRM 10 subscription content ; Voice recorder

Lack of tactile controllers ; Case shows fingerprints and smudges ; Battery is not user-replaceable ; Some users have experienced processor-performance issues

In our testing, we were able to load songs at an average rate of 4.9MB per second over USB 2.0, which is on a par with what we've seen from other players. The HDD6320 is rated for 15 to 17 hours of battery life; different product literature has...

Philips GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox (30GB)

I purchased this player at about the same time Vista was just coming out. I had bought a computer and was refused the option of having it loaded with Windows XP instead of Vista. I was "in love" with the look of the GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox, but took...

Loved the scroll feature, was easy to use, sound was decent. Can sync using Windows Media Player. Came with a remote, and a "Smart" case, with funtional buttons and a caribiner clip for belt loop

Was never fully compatible with Windows Vista. Therefore no album art & no pictures. Customer service was worthless. Unit was a little on the bulky side. The surface showed lots of smudging, from using the touch scroll

Philips GoGear HDD6330 Jukebox (30GB)

I purchased the device in April of 2009. Three days ago (July 2009) the player just stopped working. I was very gentle with the device it has never been dropped or been wet. When I called for tech support they just said "sorry" and told me I was out of...

Cheap--you get what you pay for

Stops working only after a few months, customer service unhelpful and does not care about the customer
