Samsung's tiny YEPP YP-T5V

While it may not be the smallest in the world, the YEPP YP-T5V certainly leans toward the miniscule end of the sizing scale. Luckily, despite this YEPP's less than formidable design, Samsung doesn't skimp on sound or features. Read our review for more.

Ultracompact and stylish; FM and line-in recording; WOW effects; solid audio quality.

Not expandable; easy to lose; expensive.

Samsung Yepp YP-T5 V

The Samsung Yepp YP-T5 V is a full-featured flash-based player that's almost weightless (1.3 ounces) and could get lost in your pocket. USB 2.0 would make it pretty much perfect.

Tiny and light. Excellent audio quality. Functional backlit screen. Rich feature set.

USB 1.1 interface slows load-and-go music infusions.

Samsung YEPP YP-T5H (128MB)

This tiny Yepp player from Samsung doesn't skimp on sound or features.

Ultracompact and stylish ; FM and line-in recording ; WOW effects ; Solid audio quality

Not expandable ; Easy to lose ; Somewhat pricey

Transfer speeds reached 0.7MB per second in our CNET Labs tests, which is fast for a USB 1.1 device. Battery life was also better than average; we got 12.9 hours of continuous playback from a single AAA cell.
