The SanDisk Sansa c100 series gives you a decent set of features for a decent price, but don't expect great battery life.

Stay away from this terror...

 

Seriously. Don't buy this. It's not worth it at half the price it says here. Believe me, I got it for only 35 bucks and still feel ripped off. Lasted 2 weeks before the thing shattered into pieces while snowboarding. I'm glad it's gone.

Works with NiMH batteries ; it's... light

Uncomfortable shape for being in your pockets. Breaks EXTREMELY easily. (thin plastic) Battery life is very low. The screen oddly filled with dirt or something after a week. Syncing takes forever (5+ hours on 1 Gb for me) Headphones are crap

Easily Broken

 

My son bought this unit Refurbished. It worked OK, as far as I know, until he dropped it. Not off a tall building, mind you, but from waist level. The screen cracked, and the unit ceased to function.

This mp3 player was a gift, if it wasn't I would not own one. It is impossible to download music onto it without it crashing constantly. It will only do one song at time which gets frustrating and time consuming after awhile. I would not recommend this...

OK functions, but volume WAY too low

 

I bought this to use in the gym. But it's no good for any environment with even medium noise. Even at max volume, I can't hear my favorite podcasts and the music is bearly audible. I'm selling it on Ebay. No good for my intended use!

Highly NOT recommended - junk, no support

 

Not a recommended purchase; This unit initially synched up with my Win 2000 Pro OS just fine but after unit ended up with corrupted files SANSA "support" said it wasn't a supported OS. Enough said about "truth in advertising". The unit absolutely burns...

Ummmm.......... FM receiver in player still works

Eats batteries; corrupted memory can not be reformatted; help desk said it wouldn't work with my OS [Win 2000 Pro] although no OS restrictions were noted in packaging; SANSA support = VERY POOR
