SanDisk Sansa e250R Rhapsody (2GB)

The Sansa e200 series has made huge waves in 2006. Launched as the world's highest-capacity flash player at 6GB, the feature-filled e200 later soundly beat Apple to the 8GB milestone . Now a special version of SanDisk's flagship player, the Sansa e200R...

The compact SanDisk Sansa e200R Rhapsody can play back music, video, and photo files and is available in capacities of up to 8GB; works well with Rhapsody; includes dual Rhapsody and PlaysForSure mode; includes an FM tuner, a voice recorder, and...

The SanDisk Sansa e200R Rhapsody's tactile scrollwheel is both a blessing and a burden; must convert photo and video files using bundled Sansa software; occasional low-level system noise underneath audio; proprietary USB dock connector; no AC adapter...

Thanks to an improved feature set and GUI, the Rhapsody version of the flagship Sansa player is better than the original.

SanDisk Sansa e250 (2GB)

Editors' note: 10/10/06 CNET has adjusted the score of the Sansa e200 series from 8.3 to 8.0 in light of the arrival of the Sansa e200R Rhapsody, which scores slightly higher (8.3) than the e200.

The SanDisk Sansa e200 series combines copious features such as subscription compatibility, an FM tuner/recorder, voice recording, and photo and video playback into a compact and durable device. We like the tactile navigation wheel, as well as the...

No AC adapter in package; the buttons surrounding the SanDisk Sansa e200's scrollwheel can be difficult to press; the mechanical scrollwheel can tire out some thumbs; photos and video must go through conversion with bundled software; the expansion slot...

The SanDisk Sansa e200 series offers a boatload of features for a reasonable price, in a package that is much nicer than that of past SanDisk models. For those looking for a high-capacity, compact, skip-free MP3/WMA player, start with the e200 series.

SanDisk Sansa e260 review (e200 series)

This review was updated 6/22/06. See the comments section on the Conclusion page for the changelog. Introduction SanDisk quietly entered the digital audio scene last winter with their affordable Digital Audio Player line. Two more dirt cheap,...

With the Sansa e200 series SanDisk has created their most compelling MP3 player yet. It lives up to the hype in that it is easy to use, well-designed, and feature-filled, something few players on the market can accurately claim. It's not quite a...

Sandisk Sansa E250 (2gb)

Consumer review by:

Great little player, no frills.

This is a nice basic player that lets you listen to music in album format or in shuffle, or you can make your own playlists.. Also records sound, holds photos, has an AM/FM radio and can use an SD card

Takes a while to boot up if you have 2 gigs of music on it

Sansa E250R rocks any iPod released in the same year.

Even without the Click Wheel, Sansa rocks any other iPod (released in the same year) with its functions.

Good iPod-like interface ; Memory card entrance ; FM recording

Video is played with low bitrate ; Rhapsody doesn't work well sometimes

Consumer review by:

A Great Device, especially for the frugal.

A great product, for an extremely cheap price. Frugal people will DEFINITLY enjoy something to this extent. Although it's not next gen like the iPod Touch or the Zune HD (Unreleased) and doesn't have a touch screen, it's size and flat-out features make...

Great Navigation System, Expandable Memory is great for those who have a large collection of music and/or videos, FM Radio for those who enjoy discovering new music, Slick design with convenient wheel (much better then the iPod), Decent battery life

When using expandable memory, the player takes a long time to load music (Larger = Worse). Text/Pictures on the buttons wear off, Fast Forwarding through movies is annoying (Very slow, you must hold the button)

I say Fuze is way much better!

I was very happy as I got my first MP3 player. This one. But as the years pass, you see that there is more songs in the whole doggon world. So I decided to get a 2 GB Micro for more room. Did that work? No. The voice recording time will still not rise....

Can hold 500 songs. Has FM radio. Voice recording. Video, and Micro slot

Video player is very hard to use ; Voice Recording is not worth it. The time shrinks as you add more songs
