SanDisk Sansa m240 (1GB, silver)

At 3.1 by 1.7 by 1 inches, the SanDisk Sansa m200 isn't the sleekest flash player around, but it's feathery light at 1.3 ounces with a AAA battery installed. Though the buttons are made of cheap-looking plastic, and the body feels flimsy, the overall...

Available in up to 4GB capacity; solid value; includes FM tuner and voice recorder; compatible with WMA DRM 10 (Janus) and Audible files; decent controllers; on-the-go playlists.

Bulky (but lightweight); no line-in recording; poorly backlit display; only one quality option for voice recording.

With its many features as well as its compatibility with audiobooks and subscription-based music, the SanDisk Sansa m200 series is an overall great value.

Worked great in the time that it did work.

Time Span of Use: about 1 year. I really liked this mp3 player. It had many features, and fine sound quality. Not only that, but I managed to buy it for $29.99. For about 10 months it was fine, until one day the head phones broke. Ok, now a big deal,...

Easy to use ; Cheap ; Cheap ; Lightweight ; Many features

Fragile ; Bad sound quality for voice recorder

If only they provided better support for it

Luckily, I got mine for free as a gift, but I wouldn't recommend this. I hear the Sansa Clip is a really good one for under a 100 bucks

It's a light, inexpensive, no fuss mp3 player that does what it's suppose to---most of the time

It has this problem where it doesn't play some of the songs uploaded into it. I tried updating the firmware for it in hopes that it would fix it but that also didn't work ; I think they don't bother because it's considered outdated hardware

One of the best MP3 players (for the price)

Bottom line is this: if you have more money than you know what to do with, buy an iPod Touch. If not, don't waster your coin. These are good units at a great price.

LOW COST and readily available. Kind of like having an iPod that you don't care if you lose it, break it, have it stolen or what have you. Works just as well as an iPod shuffle for 1/10th the price (on Woot anyway)

Battery cover is flimsy. I have about 6 of these units in my house and have only lost one battery cover, which surprises me

Consumer review by:

A little too bulky and non-aesthetic, but still VERY affordable and easy to use.

I was pretty impressed as this model. I was given this as a present, and I took to it straight away. Plugged ti in with the compact wire, my XP immediately saw, installed, and sync-ed my Sansa m240 to Win Media Player. Amazing. Just dragged and...

Price, sync ability to subscription services, no need of software or direction, earbuds, sound quality

Size, battery power, prone to error during sync

Consumer review by:

great 1st MP3 player!

I bought this as my first MP3 player for myself. (I got pink) It works great for me. I only listen to a couple of tracks of a CD so there was no reason to put the whole CD on. I also but some relaxation and meditation (some subliminal) tracks on to...

enough space for modest music lovers

battery life stinks

Consumer review by:

Not perfect, but not far from it...

This could have been the PERFECT mp3 player, and mind you, it's awfully close. The sound is good (you'll want to replace the stock earbuds though) and the ease of getting tunes to and from the player couldn't be easier...just plug it in and copy the...

Easy to read display, intuitive menus, drag and drop simplicity for adding files, doubles as a flash drive, uses common AAA batteries

Not as much capacity as I'd like, a bit bulky, doesn't like Macs, and then there's the "unknown" glitch

Consumer review by:

They're Pretty Good for the Price

This was only a mere $35 for me from black friday. Anyway, it is a good mp3 player. When I got a Mac, however, it was a bit troubling. Now a days it is okay, but sometimes will not recognize it. Then when you change the USB mode and connect, it will...

Cheap, Light, Good Capacity

Boo to the firmware/driver

Consumer review by:

For the price you can not beat it.

We have two and both work great, if you just want to listen to music this is a great item and well worth the price. Since all I want my MP3 player to do is play music I love it. My my only disappointment was that it needed a firmware update, though...

Light weight, eay to use

Firmware problems

Consumer review by:

No bad for the price

Works well with all music

The longer you have it. It seems like it eats batt
