SanDisk Sansa m250 (2GB)

At 3.1 by 1.7 by 1 inches, the SanDisk Sansa m200 isn't the sleekest flash player around, but it's feathery light at 1.3 ounces with a AAA battery installed. Though the buttons are made of cheap-looking plastic, and the body feels flimsy, the overall...

Available in up to 4GB capacity; solid value; includes FM tuner and voice recorder; compatible with WMA DRM 10 (Janus) and Audible files; decent controllers; on-the-go playlists.

Bulky (but lightweight); no line-in recording; poorly backlit display; only one quality option for voice recording.

With its many features as well as its compatibility with audiobooks and subscription-based music, the SanDisk Sansa m200 series is an overall great value.

Went from Zune to Zune, fell in love with Sansa m250.

This mp3 player is the best that I have had ever used. I first started with the one gigabyte m240, but felt the need to get a bigger (and smaller) player. The design worried me because it is big, and the shape is peculiar. It sits funny in the pocket...

Uses AAA battery ; Plays many formats of music (mp3, wma, etc.) ; Lightweight ; Best bang for your buck

Shape ; A bit bulky ; Monotonous screen

Good value.

I really like this player; in fact, it's the second SanDisk Sansa I've owned. (I had the 1GB one before this one.) I've also had Ipod's and I currently also own a Zune, and I prefer this small SanDisk player to any other. It's lightweight, and it fits...

Lightweight; good battery life; easy to use; inexpensive

Playlists can be hard to figure out; inadequate user manual

Long battery life, handy, cheap, and works great!

I bought my spouse one of these a couple years ago when they were new, and it worked great. A couple months ago he got a 2GB for me, so I could listen to audio books. Doesn't have bookmark feature, but it will hold your place if you switch from books...

Inexpensive, does everything we need, sturdy

Little bit bulky, and now M line is discontinued, so no cool cases

Can't play songs in order, mis-handles directories, really sucks

It's crap, but at least it was cheap crap. Even with shuffle off it picks a random order to play! I even went in and renamed all my filenames and edited all idv3 titles and still it picks its own order to play. No feature to skip forward by one...

low price, uses AAA batteries so I can cary spares, has USB hard drive mode. But the neat features are usless because navigation sucks so bad I can't use it

Far outweigh the pros, it can't play songs in order, low playback volume, no "album skip" or "jump forward by 10" or anything else to avoid single stepping through hundreds of songs

Good Value

Cheap, 2 gigs, good sound

Folder format not used

iPod Shuffle killer

Due to the screen size, it really isn't fair to compare the M200s to something like an iPod Nano. This is better suited for those who need a tough, compact player but can't live without a display. The Sansa's display works surprisingly well for its...

Price, battery life, adjustable EQ, FM tuner, voice recorder

Playlist and tagging problems, not for long spoken word tracks, updater software is confusing
