Rio Forge Sport

Player Type: Flash MP3 Player, Radio: Yes, Recording, Voice: No, Recording, Line In: No, Audio Battery Life: 1200 m...

Good sound quality and very comfortable sport earpieces. Light weight. Easily readable display.

Weak FM fringe reception. Some distortion at highest volume settings. Overall output and bass could be stronger.

The Rio Forge Sport is a small, light 256MB flash player with good sound, sport earpieces, so-so FM radio, good battery life, and a big display.

Rio Forge Sport (512MB, Blue)

With its charcoal-gray body and chromelike metal accents, the Forge is quite a spiffy-looking sports companion. But Rio doesn't completely forgo the rubberized look, keeping the rugged, grippable material around the edges of the player. At 2.5 by 2.3...

Excellent battery life; sleek design; user-friendly interface; included software is handy and easy to use; memory expandable via SD/MMC; supports Audible content and protected WMAs.

USB port cover is easy to lose; design isn't completely comfortable for one-handed controlling; slow transfer time for USB 2.0; poor FM reception.

Rio's Forge Sport makes a terrific and stylish workout companion.

Expandable memory, design, features

Strap, Headphones, USB port

More than acceptable player from the Rio stable. The radio and stopwatch functions are good selling points as is the expandable memory. Good entry level device.

Rio Forge Sport 512Mb review

The Rio Forge Sport is a reliable solid-state MP3 player with a couple of extra features a sportsperson might require. It survived the extreme downhill mountain biking trail we took it down, but so, we suspect, would most MP3 players. Nevertheless, if...

Rubber grips ; Intuitive on-screen navigation system ; Clear display

Flakey FM radio recording function ; Too many buttons

The Rio's ability to record radio is useful as a kind of notepad to remind you to buy a certain song later, but it's not something we would actually use to listen to music with. The recording quality is very poor. Not only is there a significant drop...
