Sony E-Series Walkman (second generation, 16GB, black)

Although they have been decently priced in recent years, Sony Walkman MP3 players have never been straight-up cheap--until now. The latest models, including the second-gen E-Series featured here, offer rock-bottom pricing that might make even SanDisk...

The second-generation Sony E-Series Walkman is very inexpensive and features a compact design with a nice, bright screen. It's easy to use and offers a variety of desirable extras, such as an FM tuner, a user-customizable EQ, and support for Amazon...

The E-Series Walkman has a lower rated battery life than before, and there's still no podcast support. Sony eliminated Rhapsody DNA integration.

The second-generation Sony E-Series Walkman remains an excellent value thanks to its ultralow pricing, pocketable design, handy features, and great sound quality.

"Good battery, horrific PC interface, constant crashing!"

Overall the Sony Walkman E-363 is the worst mp3 player I have ever had. If Sony just fixed up a few things I would gladly give this player a good to excellent rating, however it just has to many flaws. I doubt I will ever buy a Sony player again,...

Battery life is very impressive

Scratches very easily

"Player for the ages"

I owned each genartion of iPods until the last 160GB version. They worked but were frustating for me to use, and iTunes...I loathe it. I purchased this unit 2 years ago and I enjoy it as much now as when I purchased it. Better sound than my tablet and...

Quality, sound, endurance...all are above reproach. The ability to drag 'n drop files. Album Art on the screen is wodnerful.

Not avialbe in bigger than 16GB size and no longer available.

I wouldn't recommend this product for long term use.

Easy to use, compact size, good sound quality, nice features for the price

After about 400 songs were added, 6 months of use, it stopped working and it wouldn't turn on. So I bought another one and if worked for about a year. Then recently the usb port on wouldn't respond to anything and I couldn't charge it. Wasted money

Decent product overall

The product functions well as a simple low/mid range mp3 player.

I run Ubuntu and that it was instantly recognized and mounted was great. I like the drag and drop capability. User interface is simple and easy to navigate

It only recognizes wma video formats (a real kick in the pants for non Microsoft users). The form factor could use some slimming and Sony's love of proprietary hardware (example: the usb connector) is slightly frustrating

Dead within 3 months

Playing fine until full warranty ran out! Then it would not come on or anything. It cost more than what is worth to send back and have replaced or repaired.

Cheap for the storage capacity ; Light weight

Scratches easily...even with good care, looks like you've dropped 1,000 times ; Battery life short

MAJOR FLAW -- plays songs ONLY in ALPHABETICAL ORDER!

Not suitable if you play songs in track order, eg. albums.

Simple, clean, robust, great sound quality, very good interface. Good meaning great functionality. It does not "wow" with needless, inappropriate features like touchscreen (inappropriate for such a personal, tactile device)

The song list is in ALPHABETICAL ORDER ONLY -- it cannot play ripped discs (albums) in the original track order. Verified with Sony Support. If you listen to albums in the song order chosen by the artist DO NOT BUY THIS THING

Falls Short on Physical Construction

I got this 16 GB player to replace a 4GB Sony so I would have more room for songs for long trips. The case and feel of this one is cheap; Gone is the solid metal construction and ?heavy weight? feel. The sound is still good and the round ?shuttle?...

Great sound, Real USB Connector

Cheap feel and look
