This catchily named MP3 player is aimed at the Shuffle market – how will it fare against Apple's all-conquering units?

Small, neat and stylish, the NW-E003 is a decent piece of kit, but the ATRAC format is just so irritating.

Sony has come up with a small, light and stylish player that has a superb battery life, but in 1GB form it's a fairly expensive player and the process of converting music files to ATRAC format is so tedious that it is beyond a joke.

Awesome

Had this for 5 or 6 years now, still works perfectly. Bought it for going travelling because of the battery life - it seriously lasts for weeks and charges very quickly, just remember to put it on hold. I take it jogging and playback never skips....

A good compact walkman. Lightweight and easy to carry about. The main problem I've had with it is that it's not east 2 read the screen when out in bright sunlight, I've often had to stand in the entrance to a shop or weight till I'm on the train to...
