Can Sony's latest £200-plus MP3 player really take on Apple's iPod Touch?

Great touchscreen and interface ; Good sound quality ; Plenty of fun functions ; Strong design

Expensive ; No apps ; Non-expandable memory

iPod Classic.

Great for music on the move… but can be beaten for value

Small and light ; nice build quality ; fast, intuitive interface ; sounds great

Low on frills – and storage – which makes it look expensive

The Sony NWZ-A866 is a neat solution, and looks great. It's not quite the portable media player we were hoping for, however, with the iPod Touch – and even most smartphones – proving better options when it comes to video playback.
