The screen itself is only 320 x 240 and not widescreen

Wide compatibility ; Decent credentials as a storage device

Poor video playback ; Slow to load ; Music playback very basic

It's not a bad piece of hardware, so a firmware update could one day rescue it, but right now you're better off looking elsewhere

Vosonic VP8360 review

Feature-packed, intuitive and affordable, this is ideal for travelling photographers and media enthusiasts alike

Loads of features ; Large screen ; Ease of use ; Great as a portable backup system

Battery life is a little low ; Navigation stick is awkward to use

Conclusion This is a good product for such a low price. You're getting a huge number of functions for little more than the 80GB video iPod. The VP8360 is not to be missed by the travelling photographer or video enthusiast

Vosonic VP8360

Actually a member of that strange subset of devices that's designed more for viewing digital photos than anything else, the Vosonic as a result doesn't stand quite shoulder to shoulder with other video players

Wide compatibility, Decent credentials as a storage device

Poor video playback, Slow to load, Music playback very basic

Lagging behind somewhat its rivals where it counts
