Acer Aspire One D257 review- a solid 10 inch netbook right now

Acer mini laptops have progressed a lot during these last years, the Taiwanese company becoming one of the most important computer manufacturers in the world. Aside from the regular notebooks, which are current...

While it can't be called a perfect device, having some faults and weak points, the number of strong points overwhelms these and make the AOD257 a possible best-seller in our opinion. The netbook packs a strong hardware configuration for a device of its...

Cheap affordable Netbook that does everything I need!

Beware of Windows 7 Starter edition that comes on most Netbooks! Cause other than that, this Netbook rocks! I don't see the reason why I'd wanna spend more than $200 for a Netbook cause they all come with a weak Intel GMA GPU, it's not good for ......

Super cheap! Got it on boxing day for $180! It does all the basics like Internet, Movies and Music. But best of all, it plays WoW ON LOW SETTINGS at 15 FPS! Drops to 5 FPS for instances and Stormwind though. So not recommended for serious play

I should of done more research about Windows 7 Starter! It sucks. All I wanted to do was change my background Wallpaper, but M$ is charging $80 to upgrade to Windows 7 Home if I wanna do that. I don't wanna spend $80 just to change my wallpaper

Very good for the price

I purchased this computer for $200 at Walmart. I guess they were on a nice sale. It's normally like $300. Anyway, this is worth even the $300. The RAM is very decent, the screen looks good and it runs perfectly fine. You can even web chat with friends...

Very tiny, very lite weight, has a decent screen, nice style, runs very good, large hardrive, decent RAM, built in webcam

Speakers are not loud at all, and that's about it. It only runs Windows 7 starter

Acer Aspire One does everything that it's supposed to!

If you're of the jet-setter type who prefers a full-size tactile keyboard, needs merely a decent browser, e-mail protocols, and incredibly wi-fi connectivity for day-to-day use at a reasonable price, then the Acer Aspire One may be just the netbook for...

This netbook demonstrate what connectivity is all about. It runs Windows 7 Starter with incredible speed, given the RAM (which isn't bad at all). For a day-to-day device, this is great for people on the go, who don't want to lug a heavy laptop around ev

If I have to state some cons, they would be ; 1. The external speakers are somewhat lacking. I know it's a small unit, but they could really use some "ooomph ; 2. This is the kind of device that would really do well with internal Bluetooth connectivity

Died Within a Month

Ummm.....We received a full refund. That was nice

Runs slow compared to my Asus w/ Windows XP. I wasn't thrilled by the battery life either. Got a blue screen in the first few days when installing Office - I just thought it was a glitch. In a few weeks, it started shutting down. A call to cust svc...

Perfect Fit

Great product for the web surfer/facebooker type

Works great as the Wife's FB/Pic Mobile Command Center, keeps her off my Rig. Weighs nothing ( big plus for me

Windows Starter is a bit "bleh"....but i knew that coming into the purchase. Speakers could use some improvement, only audible when ur right in front of it

Acer Aspire One D257

Other than that, I have to say that spending a couple of grand for this netbook is absolutely worth it. I am very much pleased with this product and I strongly recommend it for those who are looking for a well-functional netbook. Do consider purchasing...

Acer Aspire One AOD257-13Dkk 10.1" LED Netbook

It's not going to replace any primary computer but for portability and light applications on a small screen it does a good job.

I love how small and convenient this computer is to use! It is a little buggy I am hoping to get them worked out.
