Acer Aspire One D250-1613

The latest model in the Aspire One netbook line is fairly nondescript. The D250-1613 has the same 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, plus 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a tiny keyboard, and a microscopic multitouch pad. With its cookie-cutter netbook design, it...

Dual-boots to Android and Windows XP

Lacks some key Android apps out of the box

Acer adds a second OS to its Aspire One D250 without adding to the price--but that still doesn't feel like enough.

Acer Aspire One (D250-1958)

Acer's 10-inch Aspire One (D250-1958) is among the cheapest systems we've seen, though you're better off spending more money on a more qualified netbook.

One of the lightest netbooks available. Pretty cheap. Very good battery life. Two-year Costco warranty.

Bland design. Keyboard is cramped. Touchpad and mouse buttons are too small.

Acer Aspire ONE D250 review: Acer Aspire ONE D250

Acer Aspire ONE D250

Rock-bottom price; slimmer size; improved touch pad buttons.

Weak speakers; battery life mediocre; small keyboard.

For the price, it's hard to find fault with Acer's even cheaper version of the 10.1-inch Aspire One, as long as you're not expecting top-of-the-line features.

Acer Aspire One (D250-1165)

The Acer Aspire One (D250-1165) is now less than an inch thick and weighs less than its predecessor, though its price has held steady.

Thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Price stays where it is. Very good battery life. Batteries are carried over from the previous version.

89 percent keyboard is one of the smallest. Touchpad and mouse buttons are small.

Review Acer Aspire One D250 Mininotebook

The Frugal One. With the Aspire One A110/ A150, Acer has passed other Asus EeePC clones last year and reached the Netbook throne. It seems the Taiwanese company has found the right price-performance mix as they sold more and more items without any...

Very low power comsumption, Low weight with 3-cell battery, Slim and chic design, Good workmanship and case quality, Very low noise emission, Relatively good battery runtime, Ease of access to installed components, Good keyboard, The low power usage,...

High heat levels on some parts of the case bottom, Glossy, low contrast display, Unpractical port positioning, Currently no UMTS option available, Very stiff headphone port, A good display with matt surface which would be better for mobile devices

Acer Aspire One D250 Review

Build quality looks quite good and the construction feels strong enough to handle being tossed around inside a book bag without much concern for its safety (well apart from possible scratches to the glossy surfaces). We detected some flexing in the LCD...

Low Price ; Nice build quality ; Easy access for upgrades

Poor battery life ; Small keyboard ; Still uses weak integrated graphics ; Bad touchpad buttons

As I've said before with netbooks, I'd like to see a higher resolution screen and better graphics solution, but when it comes to the Aspire One D250 I'd settle for a better keyboard, touchpad, and battery. Still, if you're looking for a low-cost...

Acer Aspire One D250 Review - Liliputing

When last we spoke, I promised to report back on the Acer Aspire One D250 after spending a week lugging it around downtown Los Angeles. Let me tell you, after just the first day I was pretty much ready to declare this purchase one of the smartest in...

And so, overall I’m profoundly pleased with my purchase. For less than $400 including shipping, I’ve got a light, thin, reliable, and sensibly designed little road warrior. Sure, there are things I’d change: mainly the trackpad and that obnoxious...

For now, I'm over this implementation of Android, though I am hopeful for future updates. Camping in the top left of the screen is a quick-launch arrow for heading back to Windows, which is just as well--I'm ready to leave Android and get back to...
