fantastic laptop

Great Laptop. I installed Parallels/WinXP to run the odd Win program. I couldn't be happier

None that I can think of at the moment

Just a thought

I took the time to configure an identical Dell and the price I came up with was $1,988. Roughly $500 less than the MacBook. So when it comes down to it, it really depends on your needs. Bootcamp is always an option to run your windows apps on the mac,...

Stability, lower risk of catching online VD, pretty, fancy

The only thing i can think of is compatibility with certain programs, especially games

I am writing this in response to the person that said a comparable priced XPS from Dell is $975 less. That is flat out wrong. You can't even spec an XPS the way this computer is (mainly the 512MB DDR3 video RAM). The next best thing to do it to compare...

I love this machine. I will post my full review on the 2.4Ghz model since that is what I actually own, but I wanted to comment on the review on 4/12 and even more so on the review on 6/6/08. See other thoughts. (And for the record, I have owned a Dell...

Works smoothly. Looks shiny. 2.5ghzCore 2 Duo.

A dell xps with the same exact hardware specifications and vista home premium sp1 costs $975 less.

Awesome Laptop!

This is my first Mac and it isn't really difficult getting used to the operating system. Leopard has so many features that make life easier and with the speed of this laptop. You get things done in a flash!

This laptop is great! Crazy battery life(5hrs!) and the speed is amazing. Using Boot Camp I easily installed Windows Vista Ultimate and now I basically have two laptops!! Anything I need done that requires windows, just boot it up. I would really...

Nothing serious...

All laptops get warm. I bought a Thermaltake cooling gel mat and it stays much cooler. Often dialed in to work on for 8 - 10 hours, barely gets warm.

I needed a laptop that ran XP for work, Vista did not support VPN. I spec'd a Dell and then looked at the MacBook pro - OK - fell in love, incredible function and beautiful form. The Mac runs both Leopard and XP with Boot Camp seamlessly, it games like...

None. Yeah, they're pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Beautiful laptop, wonderful purchase.

There may be some sticker shock regarding the price, and I don't fault anyone who might look for a cheaper option. I consider myself a thrifty person but given my love for technology I believe the MacBook Pro is a worthy investment for the future.

As a Macintosh and Windows sysadmin this laptop was a slam dunk for me-something that could not only handle my Macintosh applications but also dual-boot into Windows Vista Enterprise. The case and design is beautiful, and Apple's engineering prowess is...

The case is beautiful-that means it's only going to get less beautiful over time. There are a variety of issues that can arise, such as minor scratches and marks from hand oil over time. Obviously I have not experienced anything like this yet, but it's...

New to Mac

I've been a pc user for years and years, always telling anyone that raved about mac that it was just another OS etc etc. I've always wanted to try one out but never did. I recently bought a top of the line HP CTO laptop with 4gb ram 2.6ghz dual core,...

Elegant design and superior performance

Price at first, but after using it I feel it's worth the price of admission
