I thought about buying a high end Windows PC but chose the MacBook Pro with Retina because of the Retina display, the SSD, and the ability to run Windows 8 in VMWare without any issues.

A great computer. Very fast, reliable, never has a problem. The display is second to none. Makes doing mundane tasks better.

I would highly recommend the MacBook Pro w/ retina screen. The flash memory is incredibly fast. It turns on in about 7 Seconds.
