Review Acer Aspire One D270-26Dbb Netbook

New model, old performance? The Acer Aspire One D270 offers the latest Intel Atom processor generation based on Intel's Cedar Trail platform. For EUR 300, the buyer even gets a notebook with Bluetooth 4.0 that only a few notebooks feature. Is it great...

High battery performance ; Elegant design ; Bluetooth 4.0 ; Suitable for outdoor use

Weak system performance ; Poor contrast ; USB 2.0 only

A fast USB 3.0 port would be state-of-the-art

Good little netbook

Wasn't used to the speed at first- I usually am working on a machine with 16-32 GB RAM, i5 processor. The Atom is a decently fast chip though. I added a second gigabyte of RAM in this for a total of 2 GiB. Not bad after a little while. I recommend LXDE...

Good netbook. Bought to run Linux on - Debian derivatives. Works out of the box with newer kernels. Most devices fully work. Battery life is AMAZING on this Aspire One. Fast enough to do some minor processing and programming. The weight is great- very...

Had initial trouble with sound and HDMI in Kali Linux

RMA in Process

Hoping this is just one defect out of the batch and will update when I tested the second system. Much appreciated pre-paid label from Newegg for the RMA return.

Meets our needs ; Win 7 32-Bit ; Low Price ; Compatible with hardware/software testing

System would lockup on boot (blank screen) or prompt Startup Repair ; Waking up from Sleep Mode would interrupt Ethernet connectivity requiring a reboot ; Wi-Fi unstable, even with a Static IP

More Than I Expected

I really researched before I finally placed my order. My Acer arrived early and was easy to set up. It was much more than I expected. I'd have to say it's like having a laptop but better in so many ways, price being a main way. We bought it for travel...

This is a better buy than you suspect

Read the amazon reviews on this! At first, one might be turned off by the low specs of the hardware. However, for those with the technical know how, upgrading the ram and the hard disk to SSD will dramatically increase the performance similar to that...

Small, light, portable overall

Short battery life

Good cheap and compact but slow

I bought this netbook from buy.com which is a market place seller of Bestbuy. I liked it very much which looking at pictures and liked even when i first opened it. It is a very compact light weigh netbook with good storage capacity. All the problem is...

Useful for people who don't to use it a lot

Considering the price of this you can't expect to much. If your someone who doesn't need to use it consistently this would be a good choice. It's a decent computer if you want to just search for things on the internet or if your a Facebook lover it...

the size and weight are nice

It runs slowly but considering the size its adequate

Works perfect!

Upgraded the ram to 2gb via Crucial and updated the bios to recognize it. Installed desktop software, Office 2010, Movie Codecs (along with tons of movies) and lots of video games. I'm set. Thanks Acer

Great solid build, good looking design. Comes with Windows 7 Basic and has a large 320gb Toshiba HDD ; Light weight and the display is widescreen and vibrant

Tons of bloatware you have to remove. Once that's gone it works great ; There is absolutely NO WAY to increase the video memory past 8mb in the bios. Otherwise the graphics work great. I can play all of my 16 bit emulator games on it and they work...
