Great buy for the cash

The size and simplicity alone is great for any college student

Battery life ranges between 2-3 hrs but for the price, I'm not complaining

Works Fine ... Not Very Powerful

I bought this laptop to show videos and PowerPoint presentations in my classes. It works fine most of the time, but videos over 240p don't do very well. The battery life is VERY SHORT on the standard battery, only about 2-1/2 hours, not long enough...

Small, portable, cheap

Short battery life, low processing /video rendering power

surprisingly good value

I suggest downloading Oracle Open Office suite (freeware) as a replacement for MSOffice. It works well, and does not demand much from memory/cpu resources. This netbook works well with my wireless network, and at very low total cost.

Low cost, light and compact, works well

Nothing wrong that I've discovered yet

Recert Asus 1001pxb-bk301

Great deal. No technical problems. Use this for studying, note taking, emailing. Tired of lugging my heavy macbook when im on the go. I knew about netbooks, but never really expected them to work as well as this. This is probably suitable for most...

Small and light. Startup was simple and quick. Im a mac user primarily and use xp at work. XP seems great on this, never used windows 7 so I cant compare. Keyboard is what I expected. I have big hands and have no problem using it. Wireless works well....

Some other user mentioned this, but the track pad is not great. I tolerate it, but am not too picky considering i just use this for studying, note taking, and light web browsing. I might buy a mouse. Some mild bloatware. Start up a little slow, still...

Great Gift

Very cheap for the quality you get. I would definitely buy again, but this is a gift for xmas. Might have to get another one for myself.

I love how it looks. The matte black makes it look beastly even though it's small ; The small size is awesome. Great battery life and such. I was surprised at how quickly it runs, especially after you uninstall or turn off all the added services they...

Comes with a bunch of silly ASUS software and tons of not needed junk loading on startup. Run msconfig and disable most if not all of it and this thing boots in 10 seconds flat ; Keys are kinda loud ; Make sure to use a wireless mouse with it as the...

1001-PXB Good little lightweight powerhouse

Low investment, high value.

Lightweight, affordable, sturdy, WIN XP, large hard drive ; Everything you could expect from a netbook, even has a built in camera for Skyping

Only 1 GB of RAM, plan to upgrade to 2 GB. XP Home would be better with XP pro, since many people who buy netbook are people who work on the go and need to connect to an office VPN
