Don't trust the brand anymore

No more ASUS, would recommend against buying an ASUS

sleek and light

Asus support is non-existent, RMA requests go into deaf ears. After 6 months, hard disk died, no response from ASUS support. 1.5 years later, laptop won't boot, many users facing same problem - blank screen and all leds on

Great Case

What a waste of time, I should have known better. New copy of windows cost 1/3 the price of the laptop.

NONE

Windows would not activate, Kept saying that the windows key was in use on another PC and I had to purchase a new copy of windows

Great Laptop, Great Price

I'm not a fan of windows 8. 8 makes it way to difficult to get to the BIOS. I ordered 2 of these laptops, and installed PC Linux OS on one of them, it works perfectly.

Amazing price for what you get. Light weight. Screen is very clear. The cool touch feature is very nice to have when you have a ton of typing to do

The RAM slot can only handle up to a 4 gig stick

Good basic laptop that works well with Linux

This is the third quad-core AMD A-series CPU ASUS laptop that I've purchased from NewEgg for members of my family over the past two years. The model numbers keep changing, but the price stays around $360, unless you miss the frequent "sales". I put 8GB...

Good performance and cheap cost. Fair display but with the usual embarrassingly low resolution, USB3, nice keyboard. Once you jettison LoseDoze 8 and UEFI and install Fedora 19 or 20 (XFCE, not the Gnome cell phone), you've got a real computer....

Touchpad is beyond terrible. Get a small wireless mouse. Sadly, Fedora 20 no longer includes AMD Catalyst driver in the rpmfusion repo. Since Nvidia Optimus is a non-starter on Linux laptops, we've been thrown to the wolves. Google Linus Thorvald's...
