Two hours of battery life is simply not enough for the otherwise unobjectionable and basic Averatec Buddy Netbook.

Very capable little netbook. Only a couple of flaws

 

I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit and was leaning toward the Asus Eee pc before I saw this on sale during the Circuit City closing sale. Just the beginning of the closeout, so only got 10% off. So far, I am very pleased with this...

Keyboard has a very solid feel, with good pressure response. Full featured netbook with camera and nice bright screen. Solid feel and build. Onboard wireless has a very good range and holds a signal well. Runs very quiet and cool. Lg. 160gb hd

Battery it too small and not many aftermarket batteries available yet. Mousepad needs to be a bit wider. Very little paper documentation, but has an onscreen tutorial once you get into Windows

I have played with a few of these netbooks, and I really liked this one the best. The keyboard is outststanding, for a netbook

amazingly fast, fast boot, wonderful keyboard, speakers not bad for a notebook, solid, nice looking ; monitor nice

It's not the size that counts...

 

I couldn't count this as a con because it's probably my fault, but I broke one of the spring loaded retaining tabs for the battery. My Bad. I was yanking it out of my bag and it got caught. Just be careful with that.

Small, lightweight (obviously). Great keyboard layout considering the small form factor. More than fast enough for web surfing, word processing, playing movies/mp3's. I have even been able to install and use Photoshop CS2 (although some operations are...

Well, the only con is the lack of a disk drive (which is not really a con considering this is a netbook) but it does make it a hassle to install some programs. Fortunately the internet has just about whatever you need
