Gateway LT3103u

The Gateway LT3103u goes against everything that coined the term netbook, but you'll like the price, 11-inch screen, and the full size keyboard.

Eleven-inch widescreen is atypical of a netbook. Full size keyboard. Love the resolution. 2GB of memory. Big hard drive. Competitively priced

Battery life falls short of its rivals. Design is generic. Windows XP Professional would?ve been a faster alternative to Vista

Gateway LT3103u

In the battle for Netbook market share supremacy, Intel's Atom CPU stands nearly unchallenged, despite a handful of offerings with AMD and Via CPUs. So it's surprising we found so much to like about the 11.6-inch Gateway LT3103u, which uses an AMD...

Feels faster than an Intel Atom Netbook, but keeps the price low; high-def display.

Uninspiring battery life; terrible mouse buttons; no Bluetooth.

The 11-inch, AMD-powered Gateway LT3103u does well on price and performance, but drops the ball on battery life when compared with the competition.

Gateway LT3103u - Review of the Gateway LT3103u

Stylish design, Comfortable keyboard, Better performance than Atom-based netbooks

Slow boot time, Short battery life, Lid attracts fingerprints

Not only are computer manufacturers expanding the definition of netbooks by offering highly-portable, low-cost systems with increasingly larger screens, but now they're experimenting with different processors, too. Like many netbooks, the Gateway...

Review Of The Gateway LT3103u Laptop

Unlike most of the notebooks which use the Intel Atom processor, gateway uses an AMD athlon 64 L110 Single-Core Processor which I found out to be more efficient compared to the Atom. Well, it's not as fast as the ULV system but it could give the Atom a...

AMD athlon processor, the keyboard design, awesome wi-fi connectivity, good audio quality, a decent buy at the price it's being offered for

Low battery life, video streaming not that great, uninspiring muse buttons, slow boot-time, fingerprint attracting glossy finish

Its not a mac nor is it Intel's baby but for sure its definitely better than both with Athlon. Looks conventionally stylish. I am definitely impressed, the low battery life not withstanding… its definitely got me hooked to it. Kudos to Gateway for this...

Gateway LT3103u

An Athlon CPU and aggressive pricing raise Gateway's first netbook from “standard” to “standout.”

Excellent keyboard, touch pad; attractive design; some record-breaking benchmark-test scores; glare-resistant screen

Battery doesn't last long (and can get hot); no free Windows 7 upgrade; full-screen video streaming shows stuttering

Battery life aside, Gateway has created a mighty netbook with the AMD-based LT3100 line. The company wasted no time in releasing a less-expensive second generation, the Atom-based LT2100, which more closely resembles today's typical netbooks and will...

"Best netbook for the money"

I bought this laptop used on craigslist to bring on a trip. I've been using it and charged it fully and I get over 2 and a half hours! It is perfect to carry around and is actually quite nice to type on. It is fast and worth the money! Highly...

Screen size, battery, performance, windows 7 ability, portable, nice looking,ATI graphics, keyboard size is great!

mouse button (not a problem if you use a usb) no HDMI but didnt really expect it, not much ram to upgrade

"Worst customer service ever. Run Away."

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A GATEWAY. This is not a relationship that you want to get into. Gateway is defined by poor quality products and ZERO customer service. ZERO. I purchased an NV Series Gateway laptop and within the first two months had my...

Fancy looking paper weight.

Multiple failures prior to warranty expiring, Multiple after as well. I warn against this product.

Excellent overall, sort of an iPad with a good keyboard

Four stars overall. I've enjoyed my Windows 7 Home Premium model in many ways.

Quick enough, nice resolution. If, like me, you are too fat-fingered for a 10" model, the 11.1" LT31 is the answer ; Battery criticism is wrong -- I get 5 hours

Screen angle is a little touchy to avoid glare. Mouse keys could be improved but you'll get used to the rocker in short order

Gateway LT3103u

I have expended hours and hours trying to fix the wifi connectivity issues, and have only had partial success. This is absolutely crucial as I need this machine to work at airports, hotels etc which inevitably have legacy wifi routers - and Vista's...

Light, great screen, reasonably nice keyboard, big hard drive, adequate USB ports and well placed, well designed machine with nice appearance, camera

Vista - and Gateway's total lack of interest in resolving problems with it. The Wifi does not work on legacy routers at all out of the box. This machine should have had XP or Linux as an option, would have made it a 5 rather than a 2

A great computer

I get a kick out of netbook reviewers trying to decide how to grade newer netbooks "on the curve". Lets face it, most of us buy one of these for the size. My first one from work was 8.9" screen, and trust me, netbooks can be too small. The minimum...
