We were skeptical of this Netbook initially because this is the first effort by the manufacturer but the performance was surprising. The matte screen and comfortable keyboard were our favorites for this Netbook.

If you can get past its faults, Hannspree's HANNSnote is excellent value for a netbook with a six-cell battery. However, depending on your needs it's definitely worth checking out the competition before buying.

The lack of an optical drive seems less important nowadays as most products can be downloaded and those that can’t can probably be transferred to USB stick or SD card and then installed that way
