HP Folio 13 Review

Nice build; good port selection; strong battery life; low entry price

Better performance can be had for the price; TN screen quality, and not very bright

While HP’s Folio 13 is sized similarly to the other ultrabooks we’ve tested, sporting a 13.3‑inch screen and measuring 12.54x8.67x.7 inches, it’s a bit heavier than the others, but not by much. With a lap weight of 3 pounds, 4.8 ounces, it’s 3.7 ounces...

HP Folio 13 Ultrabook Review

HP has been quite busy this year with plenty of announcements in the notebook space, especially Ultrabooks. Only a couple of days back, they announced their new Ivy Bridge line of Ultrabooks and Sleekbooks, but there's still time before they hit our...

There’s just one variant of the HP Folio 13 for now and this retails for Rs.69,990, so it’s about 10K cheaper than the Dell (not to mention, better equipped) and about 25K cheaper than the Toshiba, which makes it the best buy out of the three. The...

Review HP Envy 14 Spectre Ultrabook

A Beautiful Accessory or Cutting-Edge Technology? The HP Envy 14 Spectre is a beautiful laptop with a price tag of $1200 USD. Many buyers will be enticed by the model's looks, but is the laptop really worth the money? We find out in the following...

Very high quality workmanship ; Nearly perfect keyboard ; Good battery life ; Easily accessible ports ; The SSD has great access times ; Very quiet (during normal use) ; High-quality speakers ("beats-audio")

The surface of the touchpad is too smooth ; Glare display ; No Kensington Lock ; Heavy weight

The Envy is not much different from a 13 inch Ultrabook (aside from its larger display). The price: thicker case, higher weight

Review HP Folio 13-2000 Ultrabook

Premium Hipflask. HP arrives late to the party with the Folio 13, its own interpretation of the ultrabook, and faces up to the ultraportable competition. The following review shows how well HP's little one performs in a comprehensive hardware test. ...

Considerable battery life ; Very refined materials and workmanship ; Good keyboard ; Impressive sound for a notebook of this size

Glossy display: barely suitable for outdoors ; Very stiff touchpad keys ; Display isn't edge-to-edge => a sham ; Possible performance cannot be completely called upon

That HP has set the fan to be in continuous operation, instead of immediately changing a BIOS setting to silence the notebook, where it then remains pleasantly quiet

Review HP Pavilion dv6140ea

Entry-level entertainer. Sleek and elegant looking, but is it any ...

refined elegance, sturdy build, pretty good keyboard, quality speakers, useful webcam

mediocre performance, miserable vertical viewing angles, intense heating up, scanty interfaces and their unfortunate layout

The input devices, the keyboard and the touchpad, are quite sensible and user-friendly

HP Folio 13-1020us

The HP Folio 13-1020us is one of the most handsomely designed and well-engineered ultrabooks you can buy for $900.

Great keyboard and battery life. Full set of ports

Half a pound overweight. Screen a little underbright

HP Folio 13 Review: An Ultrabook for the Masses

HP's Folio 13, the first of a new product line designed to appeal to both mainstream and business users, isn't the thinnest or lightest Ultrabook around. But unless you're a fanatic about such things, it will probably fill your needs better than its...

Long-lasting; good performance ; Nice typing platform

Nonremovable battery ; Busy software installation

Thicker and heavier than the average ultrabook, the Folio 13 may actually be a more sensible option for many users.

HP Folio 13

As ultrabooks become a major part of the laptop landscape this year, the key to finding a good one won't be specs--since so many have identical innards--so much as look, feel, and bang for the buck. The HP Folio 13 is a small business-targeted...

The HP Folio 13 has everything that matters most in an ultrabook: very good battery life, an excellent backlit keyboard, all the requisite ports for mobile use, and a very comfortable feel, along with a competitive entry-level price.

The Folio 13 is no looker compared with other ultrabooks, and is a bit thicker and heavier than thin laptops such as the MacBook Air. The clickpad's just a bit too finicky for our tastes, too.

When it comes to Windows ultrabooks, the HP Folio 13 is the best of the bunch in terms of performance, price, and ergonomics, provided you can live with a less-than-razor-thin design. This laptop is targeted at small businesses but it's really for...

HP Folio 13 Review

Everyone has an laptop based on Intel's Ultrabook spec these days, and if they don't already, they showed it off at CES last week. Just being thin and light isn't enough to stand out in the crowd now, and HP knows that. To that end, they've produced...

The Folio 13 is a good showing for HP, combining solid value, admirable build quality and excellent longevity into a package that’s only slightly bigger than other Ultrabooks. If you’re looking for an ultrabook that won’t have you scrambling for a...

HP Folio 13 review

I hardly think that we're too late, the work we're doing with Microsoft is extraordinarily compelling — ultraportables are compelling," HP's Todd Bradley said during the call where Meg Whitman, the company's new CEO, declared her decision to keep its...

Sturdy build ; Extremely comfortable backlit keyboard ; Over seven hours of battery life ; All the necessary ports

Thicker and heavier than the competition ; Meh display with distracting bezel ; Stiff trackpad ; Distracting fan noise

It is really a fine ultraportable for the people
