It is small, light, has more memory than other netbooks, is also easily upgraded, and with the larger battery it is as good as you can get in a small package.
I have been a user of thinkpads for some time, I really hate that they didn't include the trackpoint instead of the touchpad. I personally am too heavy handed and touchpads just don't work for me.

sturdy feel, does not feel like a cheap toy (acer).
battery life makes me feel tethered but it charges fast enough.
For $299, this, I believe, is one of the best...
