Great price/value, with one minor issue

All in all I am still satisfied cause it is a powerful laptop for a reasonably good price. I just hope MSI reads these reviews and makes some sort of checklist so they can address all these issues and come out with a newer model which has most of them...

Very good laptop, powerful and can handle pretty much any game you throw at it and can handle moderate settings producing good quality graphic levels. It can even run DX11 games like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at medium settings, which still looks...

The eSATA port is somewhat ill designed. My eSATA cable, if not in straight will not register, so if it is nudged while in there, and considering its on the side where my mouse usually is, will make my external disconnect ; Several times when playing...

Very happy

There wasn't loads of bloatware installed like some people have reviewed. Maybe that was included in past models or bundles but not with the E7405. Norton trial was easily and quickly uninstallable along with MS trials like Works and Office. 6 mins...

Great quality. The chasis feels solid, and suprisingly light. Gotta love innovation. MSI seems to know how to build a great lappy for the price without sacrificing durability ; Good looks. A little flashy but hey, who doesen't like their rig noticed ;...

Needs USB 3.0 ports. MSI went all out with most of the available options but missed this, maybe due to price? At present time I don't have any devices that support it so no biggie to me ; I've got big hands and the keyboard layout is different from...

Nervous Buyer, But Very Happy

I purchased this laptop and I was concerned about the following things after reading forums and doing research. I had a tough time choosing between this model and an ASUS G73 refurb. In the end, I'm very glad I purchased this laptop. Having something...

1) Price ; 2) Radeon 5870 Card ; 3) Speed ; 4) Three Year Warranty

1) Function and Control Keys Switched. For gaming, this takes some getting used to. I've actually programmed a button on my mouse as control to help with the issue

Great, at first

I tend to play RTS games so it doesn't matter much to me, but the control and function keys are flipped. Can be very awkward when playing FPSes.

This laptop runs very fast, and it was able to handle everything I threw at it with no problems. Every game ran on max settings, most games ran over 100 fps

Unfortunately, after just over two months of ownership the Wireless Card just died on me. Won't connect to any wireless networks, even though it sees them. I've gone over multiple troubleshooting processes to no avail, and my efforts culminated in...

Speechless

45 days after purchase the unit it as a local MSI dealer(I'm having to pay them) and they clearly see it has a faulty graphics card. They are going to contact newegg and see about a replacement, but I am clearly out of the 30 day window. Speechless.

Not one at all

Cons ; As soon as I recieved the PC I installed World of Warcraft and Fallout 3. While WoW was updating I tried out Fallout. It would freeze as soon as the opening video ended. I waited for WoW to update, and started it up. The game was full of...

Worth every penny

The position of the Fn key confuses me sometime as im use to having the ctrl key there so it gets a bit of getting use to when gaming. Also there is no light next to the caps lock that tells you if its on or not which would of been nice to have but in...

Nice big screen, keyboard has a nice touch to it, the key pad is a must for me and feels great, built in web cam has is pretty good, the speakers are amazing on it in my opinion, the overall appearance of the computer actually looked a lot nicer than...

Some cheap material was used, for example at the bottom right corner of the laptop there is this thin metal piece that wasnt properly stuck on and it partly hanging out. Its not a big deal but i'll probably glue it back on or something ; A bigger HD...

Laptop is great for the price

Overall, for the price, compared to other units, it is great, the e-sata is a bonus since the hd is so small. The fan does go pretty strong when gaming (but not overly noisy). For some reason the usb ports point slightly down. You might see some people...

11963 3dMark06 out of the box, very fast, great for SC2. Speaker system sounds great, best I have heard in a laptop (4 speakers 1 sub). very nice keyboard (i am very picky with this). The keys have the feel of a pc keyboard. The screen is very nice....

Some obvious cheap material was used, the laptop has a slight green in the aluminum parts which imo doesn't go too well with the red surround. that huge sticker underneath. The heat vent is on the right side of the laptop, so your hand has to be a...
