MSI Wind U160-007US review: MSI Wind U160-007US

MSI Wind U160-007US

Excellent battery life; near the top of Netbook performers in some tests.

Too expensive for what you get; wonky touch pad.

The basic-as-it-gets MSI Wind U160-007US is a leader in battery life, but shouldn't cost $80 more than comparable systems.

MSI Wind U160-007US

The MSI U160-007US netbook has long battery life, but that's about it.

Nine hours' worth of battery life. Reasonably priced.

Plain design. Noisy mouse buttons. Battery bulges out from the bottom.

Review: MSI Wind U160 Netbook

“More power!” is at the top of everyone's netbook wish list. And MSI delivers that with the sexy Wind U160, which pushes battery life into...

Impressively travel-friendly battery life. Great looks and pleasantly light at 2.6 pounds. Offers all the netbook meat and potatoes: 802.11n, 250-GB HDD, and 1 GB of RAM. Managed energy consumption means cool, quiet operation. Decent netbook bang for...

Large battery and hinge add junk to that trunk. Slooow 3+ hour recharge time. Tinny sound makes headphones nearly mandatory. Webcam mic is oddly positioned at the right of the screen. Large trackpad button feels mushy

Review MSI Wind U160 Netbook

Small. Light. Wind. The manufacturer MSI beefs up once again and

Long battery life; Design and looks; Bluetooth; Workmanship

Sound; Uneven display illumination; Constantly running fan; Temperature under load

The competition in the netbook sector is vast. Notebooks don't differ much both in terms of price, as well as in terms of hardware For example, HP's Mini 210-1021EG netbook or even a device with an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6 GHz processor like Asus' Eee...

MSI Wind U160 Review

The Wind U160 is the latest Intel Pine Trail based-netbook from MSI boasting an impressive 15 hours of battery life. With a slightly larger battery and nearly identical parts configuration, can this new netbook beat the previous generation's battery...

Good looks ; Solid build ; Comfortable keyboard

Falls short of 15 hour battery claim ; Minimalistic touchpad drivers ; The MSI Wind U160 is a step in the right direction with a larger battery than its U135 sibling, but it's priced above the competition and falls short on battery life.

MSI WIND U160DX

With a coffee brown exterior the MSI Wind U160DX is a handsome machine but how usable is it on a day-to-day basis?

The Wind U160DX distinguishes itself from a number of other netbooks on the market with its blend of looks and performance.

MSI Wind U160 - HardwareZone.com

The U160 embodies a level of workmanship unrivalled by any other netbook. The U160 has an ultra-slim chassis (only 19.8 mm at the thinnest point) and weighs just 1 kg, making this an almost unbelievably light and slim device.
