Picross 3D Review

A welcome shift

Obscene amount of puzzles, ability to have four profiles per cartridge, gradually increasing difficulty level

Conceptual shift makes game less appealing to casual users, dated presentation, enslaves your mind

P.S. I love you. Don't ever leave.

Picross 3D

Picross, as the name sort-of implies, is picture crosswords. The two-dimensional variety feels a lot like Sudoku cross with a crossword puzzle. You've got numbers along the top and left of a grid telling you how many squares are filled in. That's not...

Lots of puzzles, good tutorial

Can still be difficult to think in three dimensions and chisel that last block out of the middle of a puzzle

Review: Picross 3D (Nintendo DS)

Given the pedigree of the series, it wasn't out of the question to think that this could compete for puzzle game of the year. The only thing left to do is see how it all panned out.

Picross 3D - DS review at Thunderbolt Games

It shouldn't be this hard. It's just tapping cubes on a screen. That's all. Nothing more. The numbers are there to help you. They show you where to tap next. Everything's right there in front of you, waiting to be figured out. Calm down. Think. Never...

Picross 3D

Manages to come into its own as a fun puzzle game, even if it shares very few game play traits with its older brother.

Fans of Picross DS should be able to tell that there are a few similarities between these two games. One thing that I loved about Picross DS is that it was easy to control and I would be marking boxes quickly without pause. Picross 3D is a much slower...
