Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)

Mario is one of the hardest-working men in video games. Whether he's competing in the Olympics or exploring outer space, this gaming icon stays busy. Super Mario 3D Land puts the plumber though his paces with yet another search-and-rescue mission to...

Note - Due to vision issues, I won't be able to review the 3D capabilities of 3DS games.

3D Land delivers an experience that will satisfy long-time fans of the franchise while also making it accessible enough for newcomers to enjoy. The core game is incredibly fun, and gives you more variety than many Mario games. The scaling-down of the...

Super Mario 3D Land

Super Mario 3D Land is my first 3DS title. This game inspired me to buy Nintendo's struggling handheld, and as I expected, it's a worthy killer app. Super Mario Land 3D is not perfect, but it is without question an essential purchase for any 3DS owner,...

A Mario game perfectly suited for portables.

Creativity in spades ; Excellent mix of 2D/3D Mario sensibilities ; More content than you can shake a stick at ; Perfect for portables

Propeller power-up ; Repetitive boss battles

Yes. Going all the way back to Super Mario World, there's always been at least 3 save files.

Super Mario 3D Land

Mario's first appearance on 3DS has the plucky plumber jumping, stomping, and running in a glasses-free 3D environment. Mario can use some familiar power-ups and costumes from previous games, including the Tanooki suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 and the fir

Finally, a game for the Nintendo 3DS that makes you actually want to turn on 3D.

Lots of game to explore with a brilliant 3D implementation, if your eyes can stand long exposure to it. The fixed camera angles are the only thing to push Super Mario 3D Land from challenging to frustrating at times.

A joyous adventure packed with primary coloured thrills that suitable for older players and younger fans alike

Mario’s first major outing on the 3DS has to walk a tightrope. On one hand it’s designed to be catnip for die-hard Nintendo fans that takes them on another wide-eyed trip into the familiar but always
