Very sturdy. Only minor issues: do not leave bolt tightner/wrench on the monopod as it is likely to slip off during useage - the rubber stoppers covering the bolts are also liable to slip off with rugged use! However cheap to replace

It does the job. It is solid, yet handy, although a little on the heavy side. Works great with a Nikon d300 and Nikon 300mm f2.8 lens and a Manfrotto 234RC Monopod QR tilt top.
A monopod gives your camera support when and where a tripod is too cumbersome or can't fit. It is also lighter and easier to carry on nature sites. The Manfrotto 681B Professional Monopod features the Quick-Action lever lock system with 45 degrees flip allowing the sections to be quickly set-up and adjusted. Robust three-section black anodized aluminum monopod features sure rubber grip, wrist carrying strap, large 2.3 inch camera & head platform with plastic cover
