Easy Peasy & GREAT pics!

This camera is all and more of what I was looking for. I have a nice digital that takes wonderful still shots for my jewelry business BUT it won't take a picture of anything that moves . I needed a small digital (inexpensive) to take photos of the...

Impressed at first, but.........

When I first saw the Amazon listing for this product, I was immediately captivated by the idea of small pocket point & shoot that had the capability of a 16.1 MP picture. After ordering it, when I opened the package I was again impressed by the size of...

Great value!

I've had a few low and mid-range point-and-shoots. Usually I'm disappointed, but I read the reviews for this model and decided to give it a shot. Camera is small, sleek, sturdy, and takes great pictures. Incredible value, very happy.

Pansonic FH8 vs. SZ1

I may raise my rating after a couple more months. Though bigger (appreciably) in size, it's lighter in weight than my tiny (practically) invisible Canon SD780. So it "seems" more plastic and mass-produced--which has nothing to do with performance.

FH8 still has generous zoom (5X) if not comparable to the SZ1 or ZS20. Moreover, it's tested out just slightly ahead of the SZ1 in terms of movies and lag time. Significantly, the SZ1, which was pegged at a price between the FH8, is now falling to the...

I seem to detect a warmer, richer, deeper, more complex image from my Canon (SD780), but no sharper. I've had 5-6 Canons, and this is my first Panasonic, so I may be biased

Great Camera for the price

I reviewed alot of cameras before buying this one. I have bought Canon Powershots over and again in the past but i wanted something with more features. Pros: Quick shutter speed Alot of scene options (panoramic, through glass, sunset lighting) Easy to...

no memory card

Lovely little camera - no disappointment there. But, the purchase didn't include a memory card, so not knowing that, I took it on a trip. Could only take 10 photos without erasing those I had just taken. Upon arriving back from trip, ordered the card....

Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC FH-8

I am very pleased with this camera. I previously owned two other Lumix cameras. They were larger cameras and more expensive. I took many great pictures with them. I bought the DMC FH-8 because I wanted a small camera I could just stick in my pocket....

Amazing little camera

I have received this camera a month ago and I have to say I am quite satisfied with it. I bought it because I needed a very small quality camera to complement my DSRL, one that could be taken anywhere with no pain. I selected the FH8 because of these...

I am not impressed...so far

I bought this hoping i would be able to switch this camera on and take a quality picture. That just has not been the case. Hence the two star rating. In fairness, I have almost never taken quality pictures- with any camera, but this one was supposed to...

Sad I spent my money on this

After reading the reviews, I expected a great camera for the price, but I am really disappointed. The quality of pictures are poor and the videos are poorer. The videos look blurry because they are such low quality. Not being a camera person, I did not...
