ADATA SX900 Review

Replaced the 5400RPM HDD in my laptop and bought one for my desktop. Got them for $68 on sale and I still love the performance and it brought down the weight of my laptop.

Looks nice, very light, super fast, good price

Nothing. Perfect. Up there with Intel and Samsung

Stay awa from SSD's. So far, one Samsung and one ADATA 256 GB that broke down. after only a month. I am discustingly disappoionted.

Fast but unreliable

Went out cold after ONLY 32 DAYS. Weeks of work out in smoke. What do I do now

No failures

I love the fact that it comes with a mounting bracket for desktop computers. That and it's less expensive than other drives of comparable speed and size. What could be better?

Drives work very well. I have 6 of them in a server in a RAID 50 configuration and many other ADATA drives in other consumer systems and I have never had a single failure. As a matter of fact, I have had failures with several other drive manufacturers...

Can't quiet beat the price!!!

Early 2011 MacBook Pro, I5, 2.3 GH, 16GB. Because BootCamp requires a portion of the drive to be MAC-formatted, I ended up with 114GB for my W7 partition. Not a con, just FYI.

Using this guy for W7 in my MBP with now flaws

Can't quiet beat the price

Early 2011 MacBook Pro, I5, 2.3GH, 16GB. For those wanting to install this as the main drive on your MBP, if the drive does not work at first, it's most likely your SATA cable from drive to mother board that's malfunctioning. Spinning drives are not as...

GB. This is probably one of the cheapest SSDs out there. Speed is pretty good: went from 95-second boot time to 18 seconds. All other processes are now FAAAAAAST in comparison

512GB is max size. I wish there was a unit in 750GB-1TB range available

It works!

This served as my OS drive for a year and a half before I moved it to another box to serve as -that- box's OS drive. Management of space on the drive required a bit of doing, what with assorted user folders and documents, but it was plenty for my OS...

Good upgrade from a spinny-disk ; SATAIII, so you'll probably get all you can get out of it ; Good lifespan - so far

A bit small for an OS drive ; Not the fastest on the market

Fast lil booger

Time to watch Walking Dead :)

Fast! I tested out corsair's and Samsung and this would be equal in real world speed as the Corsair GT model and the Samsung Pro series BUT cheaper. Felt a bit faster than the Corsair GTX line but lil to no difference all great products

None so far. DOES IT's JOB Well

Firmware Issues

Just down right disappointed in this order and receiving 2 different revisions. I could see that if I ordered them at different times, but on the same order? Just my luck.

Nice specs

I ordered 2 256GB SSDs at the same time so I can set up a raid on my Windows 8.1. Wouldn't you know it, I get 2 completely different revision drives, with 2 totally different firmware (5.0.2 and 5.0.5) installed. And the icing on the cake is one drive...
