Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120GB MKNSSDCR120GB-DX

The Mushkin 120GB Chronos Deluxe is another great SSD option for cost-conscious buyers.

Great price/performance ratio. Supports SATA 6G

Older SF-2281 loses speed in random read/writes, uncompressed data

This is shaping up to be a banner year for SSD adoption. The Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S3D7 we reviewed recently won accolades for an excellent price/performance ratio, but the Mushkin 120GB Chronos Deluxe ($105 list) aims to challenge Kingston...

Good Run

It's 2015 and mine is still running strong from a 2012 purchase! This sits on my test-bench for comparing cooling products. I also use this computer for all my productivity needs, from programming to Microsoft office

disappointed

I can get 30 - 40 frames/second with my HDDs, thanks to tweaks and tricks, so I am content with having to wait 2 minutes for FSX to load! I'll wait for SSD to be more mainstream and reliable

very fast - when it worked. Win 7 boot up within 1 minute ; Program loading very fast - M/S FSX for example loaded in 1/4 the time compared to HDD resident ; Mushkin was responsive in my dealings with them

Flaky as all getout! Worked as my sys disk (Win) for several months and then started failing. Boot device not found during boot up. Device not showing up under disk manager. SSD would re-appear at random times. RMA'd with Mushkin - no questions asked...

Mushkin Drives are Junk, Don't buy!

I have ordered hundreds of SSDs from all of the manufacturers, and Mushkins are the only ones that constantly have problems when they are new.

None, even on sale they are more expensive than their competition

Ordered 6 drives, 4 of them had IO errors and one had a bad controller. Their website has no real support or diagnostic tools available, and their support center is only available from M-F during regular business hours. But good luck getting anyone to...

BLAZING FAST!

Keep in mind that your motherboard and the ports also plays a role in speed. I have 6 black sata ports that only run at 200mb~ while my 2 white sata ports run it at 500mb+

Extremely Fast! Windows loads up in seconds. The moment I see the windows logo on boot, it takes 3 seconds before it gets into windows ; Speed is as advertised. 500+ on atto benchmarks ; Got it on sale for 69.99

There are better SSD's if this isn't on sale. Other than that, no cons so far

Truly worth it

I just like Mushkin Enhanced SSDs. I had Kingston, Sandisk Extrem, OCZ and HyperX before but Mushking Enhanced Chronos is just great. Price is right on, performance is there, balanced in R/W, Random 4k IOPS are good. Install flawlessly with Win7-8 no...

Great for the $$

Mushkin had no problems sending replacement. No questions asked. Was delivered very fast. Great RMA. Not refurbished. I will likely buy another to try RAID0 with the one I have now. Definitely recommend this to anyone on a budget.

Got my fist one over two years ago. No problems. Got it on sale for something like $70. Chose this drive for it's read/write speeds compared to others at the time. Drive is very fast and stable. My replacement hasn't missed a beat after OS installs on...

First drive lasted under a year. Swapped it from an AM3+ build to an AM3 for hardware testing. Win7 booted up, auto installed all drives for other rig, worked fine. Put it back in the build it came out of, bios booted, Win7 booted... stalled. Wouldn't...

Great Speed! Better Price!

I've owned three other SSDs since this one and still can't see a difference. Amazingly fast and cheap

Nothing

Been through 3 of these in 3 computers, giving up.

Speed is pretty good. Brackets seem to be solid and mounting is ok

I've had this drive for a little over a year. It had died on my three times. The first time was in my friend's brand new computer. We sent it back and got a new drive. Then it was in my computer. It died. We sent it back and got a new one. Finally it...
