Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120GB MKNSSDCR120GB-DX

The Mushkin 120GB Chronos Deluxe is another great SSD option for cost-conscious buyers.

Great price/performance ratio. Supports SATA 6G

Older SF-2281 loses speed in random read/writes, uncompressed data

This is shaping up to be a banner year for SSD adoption. The Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S3D7 we reviewed recently won accolades for an excellent price/performance ratio, but the Mushkin 120GB Chronos Deluxe ($105 list) aims to challenge Kingston...

Good drive for a great price.

Bought this drive as well as an optical drive conversion caddy to add a fast boot drive to my MSI laptop and use the standard 7200RPM drive as storage. Boots to the login screen within 6 seconds running Windows 7. Great performance for a reasonable...

For the current price I'd not recommend it. But, as I got it on sale for ~$70, it was a steal

Works like a champ

Would not recommend, controller is bad.

Fast

Died on me 4 separate times. Died twice in the first year, sent in for warranty and died 2 times since then in the last year. I believe the problem is in the controller. Sometimes the drive doesn't even successfully power up

Good Run

It's 2015 and mine is still running strong from a 2012 purchase! This sits on my test-bench for comparing cooling products. I also use this computer for all my productivity needs, from programming to Microsoft office

disappointed

I can get 30 - 40 frames/second with my HDDs, thanks to tweaks and tricks, so I am content with having to wait 2 minutes for FSX to load! I'll wait for SSD to be more mainstream and reliable

very fast - when it worked. Win 7 boot up within 1 minute ; Program loading very fast - M/S FSX for example loaded in 1/4 the time compared to HDD resident ; Mushkin was responsive in my dealings with them

Flaky as all getout! Worked as my sys disk (Win) for several months and then started failing. Boot device not found during boot up. Device not showing up under disk manager. SSD would re-appear at random times. RMA'd with Mushkin - no questions asked...

Mushkin Drives are Junk, Don't buy!

I have ordered hundreds of SSDs from all of the manufacturers, and Mushkins are the only ones that constantly have problems when they are new.

None, even on sale they are more expensive than their competition

Ordered 6 drives, 4 of them had IO errors and one had a bad controller. Their website has no real support or diagnostic tools available, and their support center is only available from M-F during regular business hours. But good luck getting anyone to...

BLAZING FAST!

Keep in mind that your motherboard and the ports also plays a role in speed. I have 6 black sata ports that only run at 200mb~ while my 2 white sata ports run it at 500mb+

Extremely Fast! Windows loads up in seconds. The moment I see the windows logo on boot, it takes 3 seconds before it gets into windows ; Speed is as advertised. 500+ on atto benchmarks ; Got it on sale for 69.99

There are better SSD's if this isn't on sale. Other than that, no cons so far
