Mushkin Chronos Deluxe 120GB MKNSSDCR120GB-DX

The Mushkin 120GB Chronos Deluxe is another great SSD option for cost-conscious buyers.

Great price/performance ratio. Supports SATA 6G

Older SF-2281 loses speed in random read/writes, uncompressed data

This is shaping up to be a banner year for SSD adoption. The Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S3D7 we reviewed recently won accolades for an excellent price/performance ratio, but the Mushkin 120GB Chronos Deluxe ($105 list) aims to challenge Kingston...

Disappointed in reliability

Go with a more reliable brand.

SSDs are fast and make the OS run smoothly. The Mushkin 240GB SSD was fine until it stopped working

I owned the Mushkin 240GB drive for 3 years and 2 months (Just out of the 3 year manufacturer warranty) and then it died. BIOS no longer recognizes the drive. I tried it on another computer to be sure it was the SSD that had failed, and the BIOS on the...

Great Performance for cheap

Bought this to swap in my Toughbook C2 for the super slow mechanical drive. It's lightning fast now. Reads and writes are just as good as the 840 in my desktop. Would rather buy another one of these than go with a Samsung.

Good price ; Great Speed ; Reliable

running great as OS drive since '12

Taking a lot of abuse as a regularly defrag and optimized boot and OS drive with Win 7, Just changed to 10 ; Best real world speeds i've got on several SSD varieties ; Paired with 60GB version as Cache/Pagefile drive

Small and expensive ; looses read speed performance pretty fast to fragmentation ; Samsung setup next to it is worse tho ; More expensive now than 3 years ago

3 years 1 month

I give it three stars for being functional for 3 years, and only failing right after the warranty expired. I have spinners that are older and still functioning. Future SSD purchases will all be from Samsung.

Worked fine for 3 years, acting as a boot drive for a little media server/torrent box

Warranty period 3 years. Failure at 3 years 1 month
