Sorta Worked

Custom was very frustrated with his card. Got call from the customer and he complained about it not working. Could not get back to customers site.. He had a heart attack and passed away before I could fix it.

Good price and easy to install

Seemed to have a problem with the Verizon PCMCIA card. I would have to plug it in several times before the card would finally accept it. Not good when the customer is in their 60's

it works BUT...

tech support was good but unfortunately like i said it did not work in my system. it was backward compatible and my board DOES meet requirements. i did get to use it for a few hours until i shut system down to only have it restart..hmm maybe try to...

it brings life to some older pcmcia wifi cards easy to install works in linux mint 8 (a.k.a. ubuntu9.10) without any additional packages. tech support was very good in helping

did not work out for my board dont know if it was a conflicting IRQ or what when i shut system down it would only restart again yes it was the card i removed the card and the problem was gone. treid every avenue to fix no fix bummer

Works great

Great item. Easy to install. Window 7 installed it, and the Netgear wireless card without me having to do a thing

Works in certain mobos only

This is an update to my previous review...I think this card will work with boards that are older, probably loosely meets the pci 2.1 architecture, which would be a problem for newer boards. My IBM expansion slot on the docking station is 8 years old...

When it works, it works flawlessly. Put this in my IBM T22 docking station, and it worked fine with anything I put in it

Would not work in my Gigabyte mobo (G31 series) with any card, recognized the pci card, but no pcmcia cards installed

Works as advertised!

Good thing these devices exist! Great way to prevent a good PC Card from going to waste.

What can I say? I installed it into my Shuttle PC and Windows XP detected it right away. I then installed a TrendNet Wireless N PC Card into it (model TEW-621PC) and away I went ; The price is right too

None at all

Great Product

Great way to recycle old laptop cards or use one wireless/broadband adapter for your laptop and your desktop.

Installed instantly on XP without a problem. I've tried several PCI wireless cards on this pc from top companies and none of them worked well. This adapter allows me to use a Linksys wireless G adapter off my old laptop with no problems. The adapter...

2 out of 3 ain't bad

Not bad overall, and it's cheap.

Installs easily and works seemlessly... when it works. As I tried different configurations for my home network, I tried this device on three computers. Two were running Windows 2000 Pro SP4, one ran XP SP3. It was a breeze on the Win2K computers, but...

Would not work at all on my XP machine

Syba newbie

Ive had this card for a little over 5 months now, and I havent had any trouble yet

The physical connection is a little weak. It almost feels like you are going to break it trying to put the PCMIA card into it

Solid failure x2

Contacted the mfgr. for further assistance, they were completely useless. Newegg was perfect and really impressed me this time.

The only thing positives I have to say are for Newegg, they sent me a replacement card no questions asked and didn't even require me to send back the original. When the second card failed they sent me a third made by Rosewill again not requiring me to...

Failed immediately after install. Wouldn't let me turn off the computer, if the computer was plugged in it would power on even after holding the power button. I tried this card on three different computers all with the same result on TWO of these cards.

cheap and functional

Extremely pleased to see XP just pick this up and install it. I was a bit worred at first not seeing a driver disc in the box. Workes exactly as intended. Installed without a hiccup.

The actual pcmcia card is upside down once this is installed in your case. Minor nuisance since I'm using this for a cell data card and it makes the antenna hookup more difficult than it needs to be.
