Dungeon Hunter: Alliance (PS Vita)

While Sony launched both the PSP and the PlayStation 3 with entries in the Untold Legends series of dungeon crawlers, it seems to have missed the boat with the launch of the PlayStation Vita. Gameloft hopes to fill the void with Dungeon Hunter:...

Dungeon Hunter Alliance PlayStation Vita Review

Dungeon Hunter follows the typical dungeon crawling archetype. You choose from one of three classes, warrior, rogue and mage. Then you basically jump into a story where the queen dies, you resurrect her and then she runs amok. Now it's your job to take...

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance Review

Treading familiar ground is the worst nightmare of any new platform. The Vita launch is definitely the most robust, but it is also plagued with ports and titles that seem hard to justify the price tag.

Lots of loot to collect ; Plenty to see and do

Steep price tag ; Camera can be an issue ; Progression feels flawed

Treading familiar ground is the worst nightmare of any new platform. The Vita launch is definitely the most robust, but it is also plagued with ports and titles that seem hard to justify the price tag. Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is one of those games....

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance Review

The Vita version of Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is a fine Diablo clone, but a lack of ambition and a high price hold it back on the platform.

Addictive and lengthy dungeon crawling on the go ; Steady progression of loot and levels ; Flexible online co-op

Very simple and derivative ; Frame rate dips and other technical hindrances ; Costs much more than on other platforms

The biggest hurdle really is the price. If this were a cheaper downloadable game like its predecessors, it would be easier to recommend. As it is, it's hard to feel like you're getting a good deal when an almost identical experience is available on...

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance Review

Dungeon Hunter comes to Sony's new handheld system with some handheld-specific enhancements and the same mountains of loot.

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance isn’t as polished as Diablo and lacks the charm of Torchlight. Battling through its varied levels and sorting through mountains of loot is fun, when glitches don’t get in the way. Unfortunately, when it costs $28 more to hack...

In the end of the day Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is nothing more than an expensive port of a $12 PSN game. While there is plenty of action to be had and loot to collect, the overall package is decidedly generic and the quality mediocre. It tries to be a...

Slay vile creatures alone or with up to three fellow adventurers in the first action role-playing game for PlayStation Vita. Dungeon Hunter: Alliance has you exploring the world of Gothicus from an overhead perspective as you team up with allies to battle

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance- PSV

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is a lousy game. It's never particularly enjoyable, is technically clumsy, and looks like garbage. It may well be the worst game in the Vita's launch line-up.

Though overpriced, it's a great game to go anywhere

Most people will not find this review helpful, because let's face it, the game is 99 cents for the iPhone(Or was) and anywhere from 6.99 to 14.99 on Playstation Network, depending on when you got it and if you were a plus subscriber. But let's get down...

Fun to play...though overpriced

This game is fun..with Diablo-esque game-play. Others have complained about this game being inaccurate in control but I have not seen that issue. If you like the game style, this one is worth trying. My only complaint is that you can buy this on the...
