LittleBigPlanet (PlayStation Vita)

LittleBigPlanet was a surprise hit for the PlayStation 3 . It was a deceptively cute platformer that combined accessible, friendly design with some of the most powerful editing tools offered in a retail game. The result was not only a bestselling game,...

Powerful editing tools. Tons of user generated content promised. Looks as good and plays better than the PS3 version

Touch screen controls are less useful for level design than analog sticks. Short single-player campaign not including downloadable and user-generated content

With the same great graphics and even more editing tools and gameplay variations, the PlayStation Vita version of LittleBigPlanet is the best one to date.

LittleBigPlanet (Vita): The handheld’s killer app (store)

The original LittleBigPlanet was a marvel and a breakthrough. Hitting just as the world was ready for it, it provided the PS3 with three elements it desperately needed: a family-friendly flagship series, an excited, engaged creative community and a fun...

Great touch-based creative elements, new mechanics allow for user-created app-style games

Aesthetic can get tiring at times, platforming still floaty, occasional server hiccups

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Review

The Vita version of Little Big Planet is the best yet, and makes great use of touch and tilt controls to boot.

Wonderfully varied story levels and minigames ; Makes excellent, sparing use of touch and tilt controls ; Refined toolset makes level creation easier than ever

Creation tool tutorials feel unfinished

LittleBigPlanet has been shoved on the PlayStation Vita, and the result is something you need to play.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is the definitive LittleBigPlanet game. It's everything you loved (or possibly didn't) from the past games boiled down into a package you can play anywhere at any time. You can collect prize bubbles while watching TV, download...

LittleBigPlanet Vita Review: A Great Idea, Finally Realized

The ambitious toy box finds its true home on the Vita.

I'vealways admired the LittleBigPlanetseries more than I've actually enjoyed it. Media Molecule's ambitiousdecision to craft a platformer that put the creative power into thehands of the hands of the audience was a risky move that, for me,never quite...

Counting portable iterations and spin-offs, Sackboy has made a new game appearance every year since the LittleBigPlanet franchise was born. It's been easy to grow fatigued, adorable as he may be, especially as the series' major improvements came to its...

LittleBigPlanet (PlayStation Vita) Review

"iPhone game, not real, don't care."

Successful blend of touch and tactile controls; Stuipdly intuitive; Well-paced, if brief, campaign; NEW IDEAS!; Same community, sharing, multiplayer options

The end result is a successful blend of traditional controls and new-wave touch gaming, a title that seamlessly mixes rival input schemes. LittleBigPlanet Vita makes good on the promise Sony made with the Vita when it was revealed.
