They were a great deal and turned out to be very good quality. I'm pleased. My mother listens to classical on hers, with a larger set of headphones. Surprisingly good sound and the battery life is quite decent. Highly recommended.

. . .not great, not terrible. This was purchased for a child who needs a sony walkman to participate in a special listening program. His mom reports that the batteries die quickly, and it seems a bit flimsy. However, it does the trick.
