The universal gripe about remote controls is that there are too many of them in the average household and they are too complicated to use. We want one device to control all the others. Is that a pipe dream? Hardly. Universal controls have been around fo...
I would recommend this advanced remote control only to people who enjoy tweaking and fussing around for some time to get things just right. If you are looking for simplicity this is not the device for you. The price at around 500 Aussie dollars is not c...

The swanky Logitech Harmony 1000i can be programmed by the average consumer, which saves the cost of hiring a home installer to do it.
Includes a rechargeable battery and a docking station, Less expenseive than other high-end tablet-style remotes, Web-programmable, Compatible with Windows and Macintosh machines

Attractive design, supports thousands of devices, learn function, easy to use

Looks great. One remote does everything, not 8 remote like before. To watch a Blu ray movie before i would of had to press 15 buttons to get it ready, now only one.
No Radio frequencies!! So you must aim perfectly straight at your items. The Harmony 1000 has RF not like the 1000i.
Excellent, but you'll need a day to set it up.
Almost everything
Setup long
Absolute disaster !!! Unable to even connect to any of my computers (XP). Spend 2 hours on the phone with the help desk. We jointly agreed to return the product.
