Works quite well

Tested with a generic PC104 keyboard and a Logitech Trackman Wheel on both Linux and Windows systems. This replaces a unit (of another popular brand sold by Newegg) which was balky and a pain to use. In contrast, this unit is almost flawless.

All features work as advertised. It handles a 1600x1200 DVI video signal with no visible problems. Mouse and keyboard response through the dedicated USB ports is unaffected by the KVM. Switching is fast, although Windows takes a couple seconds to...

If a system is booted without being selected on the KVM, the KVM will report via DDC that a "KVM Monitor" with max resolution 1024x768 is connected, which will probably lead to display problems when that system is eventually selected. This is the only...

Excellent product

They could easily build an ASCII terminal into one of these things.

No visible effect on DVI signal ; Pleasant and simple to use ; Works great with ThinkPad UltraNav keyboard ; Heavy enough to sit on the bench without tipping over backwards like other units

Peripheral switch is great, but it's only USB 1.1 ; Keyboard connector on back would be nice ; Cables are very bulky

This is minor, but the wide low slung shape makes it hard to locate. I would prefer it to be narrower and taller. Then it would take up less desktop real estate ; This KVM does not support analog VGA outputs from video cards, nor would I expect it to....
