Brother DCP 8065DN

 

This is an All In One but not an inkjet, it is a laser unit, it can print in mono, it can copy in mono and scan in colour, however unlike a lot of laser All In Ones it is not huge in size or weight.

So first the dimensions it is 53x43x43cm and weights an amount easily moveable by an adult. The dimensions are maximum sizes as the top is larger than the base to accommodate the scanner. In fact it fits in a space often taken by one of it's inkjet...

DCP Laser

 

Should have had Fax capability. MFC series has it and if Fax is a must MFC 6460N network model has it. Wish they start including drives for Linux. But most of the time generic drivers from Linux (Ubuntu) works fine.

Easy set up and good quality printing. Hooked it up to network and started printed immediately after installation of drivers

No wireless, has to be hardwired the the network. But no big deal, unless you run out of ports. Wireless helps to keen place free of wires

I wish we would have bought the model up with the fax feature, and it would have been a complete multifunction. But we are very happy with it.

This is a great copier for a smaller office - it's easy to use, the double sided feature is terrific, and very easy to set-up.

I haven't found any yet - so far so good, although we aren't using the scanning feature yet.

Good purchase (except for the scanner). Have not used fax; cannot talk much about graphics.

Copy speed is very good. For a machine of its size, you will be pleased with the copy speed.

Maybe I don't know how to use the scanner effectively, but it works poorly.

I bought this to allow my wife to copy workbooks to homeshool our children. The duplexer works as it it should and this was the main reason for purchasing it.

Good quality printing.

My PC had a hard time finding the printer on a network but after a few times, got through it.

A great small office copier that does duplex (2-sided) printing, copying, and scanning.

This is my second Brother MFC. It is reliable, efficient, well built, and relatively easy to use (I hope this encomium doesn't jinx it!). [There is no fax function, therefore I can't rate the fax features. As I have e-fax capacity, I don't need the fax...

The sleep function doesn't sync well with Windows XP drivers. Also, instructions for installation should warn to NOT plug the device into the backup/surge suppression side of an APS BackUPS unit (rather, use just the surge protection side), as the...

Overall its a great mulifuction system. The best part being that everyone connected to the unit on the network is able to print and scan fairly quickly.

FAST and GREAT quality. Network printing makes it a great office printer and scanner.

Network software was a bit hard to setup but with some research on the web I was able to set it up. The manual has no instrustion for network setup.

This is my 2nd Brother duplex printer - the 1st is still chugging away - the duplex scanning feature was well worth the entire cost of $400 this model does not have the FAX features not much to say about PC Nation - they did what they said they would...

duplex printing and duplex scanning for $400 - this is the greatest thing since sliced bread

duplex scanning has images slightly askew / slanted this is not enough of a problem to offset the benefits of being able to automatically scan 2-sided objects
