Brother DCP-J132W review

Functional rather than brilliant, this MFP does the job, but you can get more features for the same money elsewhere

Brother DCP-J132W

Brother's entry-level all-in-one offers a surprising amount for under £60

Well-designed controls ; LCD display ; Low price

No photo tray ; No NFC connection ; Very noisy

Software includes Brother's own MFL-Pro suite, as well as drivers for the printer and scanner. There appears to be no OCR facility for scanning to editable text, though.

Brother dcpj132w

Good all round printer copier and scanner. Compact size. Good build quality. Brother have come on in leaps and bounds over the last few years and now produce quality products worthy of your consideration.

Print speeds are acceptable, but not lightning quick. But for the money, it's OK.

Prints very slowly if files are large via wireless. sometimes picks up multiple pages and prints across both - maybe a paper problem. Initial one had to be replaced after one day as it became convinced there was a paper jam. no problems so far with...

Ok with compatible cartridges. Separate ink tanks, so no ink wastage. Wifi works well. Good build quality.

Display a bit basic, just a single line of text with no backlight.
