Brother HL-5250DN

Brother's network-enabled small-office laser has it all.

With fast printing, quality output, easy networking, and a built-in duplexer, the Brother HL-5250DN would be a great choice for a small office.

Brother HL-5250DN Printer

Brother has another winner on its hands with the HL-5250DN. Its low price tag and compact footprint make it a good fit for the tight budgets and crowded workspaces of many small offices. Yet this attractive monochrome laser also produces top output...

Fast printing ; Quality Output

Optional 250-sheet paper trays cost $200

In our speed tests, the HL-5250DN printed text at 21.6 pages per minute, which is competitive with lasers costing several times as much. At 9.6 ppm, graphics also emerged faster from the HL-5250DN than from the other models we tested this month

Brother HL-5250DN

If you're in the market for a monochrome laser to act as the workhorse of your small office—or if you have heavy-duty personal printing needs—be sure to look at the Brother HL-5250DN ($250 street). It's small enough—9.7 by 14.6 by 15.1 inches (HWD) and...

Compact size. Fast performance. Excellent text and good graphics. Ethernet connection

Photo quality just fair

The Brother HL-5250DN is a very good choice for heavy-duty use in a home office or as a shared printer in a small office.

Love this printer

Easy to use. My wife is a middle scholl teacher and she is constantly printing.

Toner seems to last forever. Aftermarket toner and durms available. Can use this networked very easily

None that are noteworthy

Disappointing performer

I may just be unlucky, I haven't seen this complaint posted about this printer except for envelope printing. For me, every other page is creased from a regular document.

full duplex ; fast

creases every other page (with manufacturer recommended paper)

Very Good Small Office Printer

As a school administrator, I print a lot of text pages. This printer has been great. After going through several different inkjet copiers, this one has been much more economical and has worked very well. I highly recommend for a personal office.

I've been using this printer for a couple years with no problems. Networking works great, makes clean copies. Perfect b/w printer for my school admin. office

No real problems. Could be a little quieter but not really loud either

Fantastic printer for students

I am very happy with this printer so far. As far as I'm concerned, it is the best printer on the market in it's price range. Toner is easy to find (Staples), it's fast and automatically goes to sleep when not in use. The only problem which I have to...

For the price I paid (CAN $179.82) I could not have asked for anything better. Automatic duplexing is a must for eco-friendly students on a tight budget. This printer is very fast, which is nice when I have to print documents at the last minute

When printing PDFs with duplex, every little detail must be be tweaked for it to work and these settings are kept as default only sometimes. That means that one must ALWAYS check that proper settings are set before printing duplex PDFs

Easy to set up and fits my needs!

The printer definitely has meet my needs. I have also bought the additional trays for the printer as well for holding extra letter/legal size paper. I previously had a Dell 1700 series printer and the Brother is definitely quieter and faster than the...

I own a Mobile Notary Service and needed a printer I could rely on to get the job done (print a lot of documents). Setup for this unit was a breeze and within minutes I was on line printing documents. Just the way I like it

The only thing I wish it had was an LCD display for the unit (and thet's not really a major issue to me)
