Brother HL-5370DWT

Brother's HL-5370DWT monochrome laser printer may be slow, but it's an economical choice for home use or for a small workgroup. It's inexpensive ($300 as of May 25, 2009); it has lots of paper capacity and connectivity options, and it's easy to install...

Low purchase and toner prices ; Automatic duplexer and wireless included

Slow ; Paper trays can be flimsy or hard to use

A few things about the Brother HL-5370DWT--the slowness, the rattly components--feel cheap in the wrong way. But the printer's economy and versatility make it an excellent all-around choice for the price

Brother HL-5370DWT

Not worth the money to purchase the wireless option.

Cheap printing

Print seems more grey than rich black. Most importantly, the software for setting up the wireless link doesn't work with my router. Somehow my Canon printer is able to link wirelessly without any problem. And trying to debug the issue with Brother...

Brother printers and durability

I have been using Brother printers and setting them up at client sites for more than six years. I installed two HL-5250DN printers in a 16-seat writing studio in 2007. These printers were used by hundreds of different people over that time with few...

Many features, good duplexing, web interface exposes all functionality, works with USB, too (but watch out for setup 'fun') ; Separate toner and imaging unit ; High capacity toner cartridges available ; Lowest per-page cost in class ; Very durable...

The wireless interface only works if the Ethernet interface is disconnected - they WILL NOT work simultaneously. This makes the iPad/Android app nearly worthless in a networked environment - how do you train uses to unplug cables - and plug them back...

Good Printer

A great printer for the price. I could not get to hook up the computers to the printer through the wireless. Most likely my tech ability or a lack thereof.

Great printer, but if you have an updated mac the software that it comes with is not compatible with OS X.7

Hard Setup

A plus for my small business

Fast printing, no jams, sends an extra sheet every now and again (could be my fault for not fanning sheets first, noise isn't an issue unless you set the fan beside your ear, hard setup for WIFI.

Easy To Use,Fast Print Time,Sharp detail
