The boxy Brother HL-6050D weighs nearly 46 pounds and stands just more than a foot tall by 15.4 inches wide and 16.7 inches deep. Its putty-colored plastic with navy blue logo trim is about as bland as printer design gets. The curved top output tray...

Speedy; two-sided printing; ample paper capacity; expandable memory; Windows, Mac, and DOS compatible.

Drab design and fair graphics quality.

The HL-6050D is a reasonably priced option for a growing business.

For a networked workgroup printer, the Brother HL-5060DN is remarkably compact--and affordably priced at $650. Its double-sided printing can lower paper costs and reduce the bulkiness of your larger documents. But its print speed may not be fast enough...

The control panel's backlit LCD display simplified navigating the menus, even in a darkened corner of the PC World Test Center. Administrators will like the set of printer management utilities, including those accessed from your Web browser

Dependable Printer, and fast

 

I was looking for a laser with a good ppm rate and could print duplex reliably. In over one year of fairly heavy duplex printing, I have had only one paper jam. Would recommend to anyone looking for a monochrome workhorse for duplex printing.

This has been one terrific printer. I have had zero problems in 25K copies and no paper jams. Quality rivals some the older more expensive laser printers. I maxxed out the RAM as I print very complex files from graphics programs and it is rarely slow....

5 printer bought, 5 printers in for servicing, more than once each.

 

Good feature set, good price point and good specs

Either it is bad build quality or a poor design, but to date all 5 printers have had problems. Problems have ranged from defective toner cartridges to bad rollers and poor OSX drivers. These printers are less than 6 months old. Not recommended
