Brother HL-6180DW

Although you wouldn't guess it from the model number, the Brother HL-6180DW $229.06 at Amazon is best understood as a heavier-duty version of the Editors' Choice Brother HL-5450DN $191.20 at Amazon that I recently reviewed. It adds Wi-Fi and a few...

Duplexer and 550-sheet capacity standard, 1,050-sheet maximum. Low running cost. Ethernet. Wi-Fi.

Although acceptably fast for the price, it's slower than you might expect for the rated engine speed.

The Brother HL-6180DW monochrome laser printer's balance of speed, paper handing, and running cost makes it a good fit for heavy-duty printing in a micro or small office or workgroup.

Brother HL-6180DW review

Installing the HL-6180DW is easy, but you'll need to use USB or ethernet briefly during the Wi-Fi installation process if you don't have a WPS router. The software (what little is required) is excellent, and Brother one of the few vendors to have...

The HL-6180DW is a good buy for a small workgroup that prints perhaps a thousand pages a month. It offers USB, ethernet, and Wi-Fi compatibility; good quality output; and super-affordable toner. That said, an upgraded control panel would heighten the...

Brother HL-5470DW review

Most of the printers we review are designed for reasonably light use in the home or a study, but Brother's HL-5470DW wireless network mono laser is aimed at small businesses or a small workgroup in a larger business. As such it's faster than an...

A solid choice for a small business or workgroup, but Samsung's cheaper ML-3710ND performs just as well

Horrible Support

I have been buying several of these to replace aging printers in my office, this one is the first one to break. The "teeth" on the paper tray broke and causes a very loud grinding noise, I contacted Brother and told them the printer is offsite and I...

Great but short Lifespan

Bottom line is although I am a little bummed over the limited lifespan - I am still buying another one. Of course my new printed is coming from New Egg . I have been dealing with them for many years and they always get an A++.

Overall excellent printer. Print quality is acceptable. Paper handling is outstanding - I actually have the DWT and price for consumables is very reasonable until you have reached the 100,000 copies mark

I am somewhat disappointed that my printer is showing I will soon have to replace the fuser and laser unit after only 100k copies. Although I ; actually could probably do this, a check around the internet for price for the components says it does not...

Terrible Product, Terrible Support (IT Manager - 200+employees)

I won't be using any more Brother products from here on. It's a no wonder the larger more expensive printer companies beat out companies like Brother. While they're product is more expensive upfront, the reliability and service quality more than make...

When they work, they do an okay job

I have a dozen of these units in my company, they perform light to medium duty printing. To date, just about every single one has had incredible issues ranging from faulty drums to pickup rollers, to fusers. Brother support is trashy and insulting
