Brother HL-4150CDN

Brother's latest generation of small office color laser offers an attractive balance of speed, paper handling, and output quality.

Reasonably fast with suitable paper handling for a small office or workgroup. Reasonably high quality text.

Colors are noticeably off in most photos.

Text print quality is excellent and letters are well-formed, printing them crisply even at the smallest font sizes

Excellent security features; crisp letters at small font sizes; pleasing, if lightly specified, laser printer

High colour costs; colour palette too strong; low memory allocation and a 40,000-page monthly duty cycle means only suitable for light-to-medium use

Avoid if sharing with a central server

Avoid if you are using any *Nix systems including Mac OS X.

Looks nice. prints just as good as any other laser out there

Can not share this printer in any fashion. I have a central linux server box that uses the same drivers as mac (CUPS). I can not get it to share the printer with any of my macs, windows, or linux desktop machines. I called support to see if they can...

Well worth the money

Have only had this printer a short time, but the ease of assigning it a static IP, and getting all the network to readily find, install, and use has been great. Quality is good too, so we'll see how it hold up!
