Brother's budget MFC-250C multifunction printer offers decent print quality and has low running costs.

Don't expect the best print quality, but at this price the Brother MFC-250C multifunction printer is a decent option that handles basic tasks adequately.

Cheap, relatively low running costs, good photo print quality

No media card slots, scan quality could be improved

Sometimes the race for faster and more versatile printers means too many corners are cut. The MFC-250C is just such an example, resulting in serious design flaws and disappointing print quality.

Good

This is easy to use & overall an excellent machine for the price. But if you use OEM cartriges a set of spares in value packs will cost nearly as much as the machine. The quality of prints etc are quite adequate for home office use.

I bought this machine because I have found the Brother Machines to be generally reliable. This is a smart two-tone grey machine with buttons clearly marked on the control panel. The paper tray slides into the bottom of the front & is fully protected...

The LED panel is difficult to see & requires that you stand over it to see it clearly. This is annoying if you have your printer pushed back to give more work space. It would be good to have some back lighting &/or the LED panel raised to face the...
