Brother MFC-5460cn

Despite the similarities, however, there are some important differences. The MFC-5460cn claims a faster fax modem speed (at 33.6 Kbps compared with 14.4 Kbps for the MFC-440cn), has a higher-capacity ADF (35 pages instead of 10), and features a higher...

Automatic document feeder. Network port. Scans and faxes over network. Standalone copier and fax features

Slow. Paper capacity is only 100 sheets. Setup involves confusing, manual steps

Although it's suitable only for light-duty printing, the Brother MFC-5460cn delivers a full set of office-centric features, ranging from a network connection to standalone faxing.

At its price, we can say this is a good buy, if you don't mind waiting a bit for the print.

Brother - MFC-5460CN

Finding a multi-function machine, complete with network connection, fax and an auto-document feeder (ADF) for around £100 (plus VAT) is a rarity, so this new Brother device is interesting, straight out of the box. Styled conventionally ...

The Brother MFC-5460CN is a good choice for anybody on a tight budget, as it offers many features you don't normally see together on a machine at this price point. While neither print quality nor speed are anything to write home about, for day-to-day...

Brother MFC-5460CN

Bottom line- I do a LOT-&I mean a LOT of Both Color picture printing-But Very close to near 5K+ Per Every Month's use w/said printer&it holds up VERY well as compared to a Great many other "MFC Type printers"!! I Know as I have owned&used from Xerox's...

Low price / works w-Many types of PC/Mac's&Many Diff.O/S's TOO! Fairly Compact for an MFC Unit. Also;High DPI Print resolution&Prints High quality

Color print speed is VERY Lacking/NOT as Detailed according to their supposed Specs!!.. Also; unit is VERY Slow for near ANY Color print job&even Slower@Higher DPI-or Pic. Printing Too, rather frustrating&Not even Close to advertised print speeds

Great Value For The Money

A very useful product. I was most pleased with the marked improvement in the scanner preformance compared to my previous Brother MFC.

Scan quality is very good. I use it as a secondary printer and find its' output good. The document feeder works well. The website is fairly easy to access for updated drivers

no significant issues

All features you need for a multi-function device

The fax, copy, scan and photo capture functions operate smoothly ; The standard fax functions are straightforward ; The photo capture from either USB port on the device or the memory card slots was very simple

I have struggled to get the Fax from PC function to work ; The menu system on the device poses a challenge because there is only a small one-line LCD display ; Printing/Scanning/Copying speed is slow as evident in the specs ; Ink costs a bomb

You can get this thing for as low as $84.99 now. I paid around $130 a year or so ago. It works almost perfectly. Maybe not the fastest or most expensive but it does everything most home users could possibly want it to do. Love it.

Love this printer. Very nice quality for most printing jobs. Never had a problem with copying quality. Perfect replica. Cartridges are fairly cheap (Try Ebay). Love the scanner an it's PaperPort software. I scan everything into my computer now

I hardly ever use this to print pictures but the quality isn't great. Had some lines on the pics after it was done printing. I could care less though because if I want to print my own pics I'll buy a photo printer

Low on performance, High on features

The first thing I noticed while taking this machine out of the box was the sub par build quailty. Very flimsy plastic. On my Mac (OSX 10.4.9), the installation process left me wanting to track down the software engineers and bludgeon then with the user...

Networking and fax capabilities at a reasonable price

Speed, marginal quality, SOFTWARE
