A cost-efficient laser multifunction for small businesses

The MFC-7340 has a number of flaws and missing features that make it problematic for office use. No duplex, no Ethernet and an inadequate paper output tray are its key failures, but it delivers good quality printing and it is cost efficient.

Good quality printing, small footprint, good price

No duplex, 14.4Kbps fax, inadequate paper output tray, no Ethernet

Brother MFC-7340 Multifunction Printer

I run Mac OS X.6. I purchased this machine as an in office stand-alone printer. I have a network printer and copier away from my desk. This machine has been a great find! It prints great with no hassle or jams...its fast. I was pleasantly surprised on...

Excellent all-in-one

When running mac and windows it will not print until windows suspended. Ink cartridge is hard to replace

Brother MFC 7340 All In One

Brother have earned me as a customer like their laser printer so far

Got this from Newegg @ a steal during a presidents day promo sale. Easy to install and operate I have not had to change the ink or drum yet so I can't really comment on that. The copy and scan feature are above par from my old HP unit I have not used...

laser printer not color but then color adds more to the price unable to print both sides of a document on 1 side of a sheet of paper

7340 Nice for the Price

Good cost per print. Aftermarket toner is available for a much more reasonable price.

Good printing speed ; Good quality copys and prints ; easy set up ; straight forward software

document feeder scanner is slow ; scans are not totally straight

Linux Compatable (ish)

READ THE DOCUMENTATION BEFORE USE! the first impression was me botching the driver install because i didn't read all of the documentation before beginning. now that i've ironed that out i'm really enjoying the speed and simplicity vs my old inkjet...

VALUE ; solid construction ; linux drivers from Brother ; small footprint/size ; good all around speed ; hi-res prints are pretty

kinda bland looking ; waking from sleep takes a bit (or i'm impatient) ; push button scanning doesn't work w/ linux ; fax from file doesn't work w/ linux ; curls pages a bit (i use really cheap-o paper) ; no cup holder

Great MFC for Linux

Some people have reported streaking issue while printing under Linux, I haven't had any issues so far.

Relatively inexpensive, has all the features you'll need for a home office. Works under Linux using CUPS and I have set it up on a Ubuntu server so printer can be shared on the network. I have also setup network scanning using SANE so that I could scan...

Can't figure out why Brother would choose to default the function button to Fax... And photocopying requires pressing at least two buttons. But what this printer is targeted, no complains

brother MFC Series MFC-7340 MFC / All-In-One Up to 21 ppm Monochrome Laser Printer

Has been running in a small office here for about a year or so now. Work load of probably ~30-40 pages a day, with a few scans thrown in( mostly used for copies and faxes). Still going strong, works like the day we set it up

Has developed a slight occasional squeaking sound when pulling paper through. It may be the toner cartridge, it does not have any noticeable effect other than being a little annoying

Owned for 7 months without any problem, easy to set up

This multifunction MFC-7340 laser printer with Brother TN360 toner was bought on sale and was well worth the price. Cheaper price tag. tons of features, low cost of ownership. Works as it should, no problems yet. Enough printing capacity for a small to...

Owned for 11 months w/ no problems. Very happy owner.

If you do not need the wi-fi , or the network connection capabilities then this printer is for you. I did not need those extra features and saved $100. This model might not look as nice as the black one with wi-fi but it is the exact same machine minus...

So much cheaper for price per page vs my ink jet hog. Prints large jobs pretty efficiently and is pretty quiet compared to other printers I have used. I print about 800 pages a month and have never had a problem. Got this one on sale for $120 back in...

A little bulky for a home printer but really that is all I can complain about. Scanner software is a bit old, but you can update and it works fine. I waited almost a year to write this review and there is not much to complain about. The toner is a bit...
