Brother MFC-885CW review

Brother's MFC-885CW is relatively expensive for a colour-inkjet multifunction peripheral (MFP), but it has plenty of features to justify its price.

Brother MFC-885CW: printer that does absolutely everything

This is one of the most complete office multifunction printers we've ever seen. but the MFC-885CW can't overcome its price or quality issues.

Brother MFU MFC 885CW

This is a multi function unit (MFU) as it has a fax and it also has a wireless phone unit attached to the side. I remember reviewing many units with phones attached but never a wireless one.

It is 36x39x18cm with the phone and it's socket adding 8cm to the 39cm width. The power lead fits at the rear of the left side well behind the phone so needs to further space, note I said power lead as there is no external power brick. The USB cable...

Brother - MFC-885CW All-in-One

The competition amongst All-in-One printers sees no sign of cooling down, with all the principal manufacturers trying to add that one extra feature that should - at least temporarily - keep the rest of the pack ...

Brother's latest multifunction printer scores good marks for wireless connectivity, impressive fax connectivity and the new widescreen LCD facility for picture previews, but has minor issues with scanner picture quality at the default setting and photo...

Piece of Junk !

Works great....until the print head gives out ; A known issue with both this and it's little brother, the MFC-665CW....identical printers except for the antenna. Same print head, everything

Bought the MFC-665CW just under a year ago. After about 6 months, the printer started claiming the ink-paks were dry. Replaced them at considerable expense, continued to clamor for new cartridges. After Googling the printer, found out about the print...

Best All-in-One Printer - Ever!!

You'll not be disappointed! I love Brother products. This one doesn't waste your ink by constantly cleaning itself, like a lot of other brands do (some brands clean every day). Mine only cleans itself about once every 500 pages of printing. It does...

Decent all in one

I have not printed on anything else other than standard letter paper so I don't know how it handles envelopes or other media. I have not printed any photos so I don't know about the quality of pictures, but I didn't purchase it for that purpose mainly...

Set up was a breeze. The wireless connection was easy to set up even on a secure network. I was surprised at the short time it took from out of the box to printing the first document. Documentation and set up instructions were adequate both in print...

paper tray and door for ink compartment is filmsy, but not much else to speak of
