I have had mine for almost a year with no problems whatsoever. It makes a decent photo, nice copies and the fax works well. I haven't tried scanning with it yet but a twain scanner is a twain scanner. Ink is cheap and it gets good milage between...

Excellent Machine!!!

I bought this machine for a second time, the first machine was shorted out by a lightning strike in the backyard. It shorted all my phones, and my fax. I loved this product so much, that I when having to replace my other, I just bought the same one...

Stressful Machine!

It's fantastic that there are so many things in this one machine, a fax machine, a scanner, a copier and a printer. But that's it. For the first month this machine ran beautifully but then it just repeatedly made me want to pull my hair out! There are...

So far so good!

"I just got this machine last week for my new business. So far it is great! The set up was easy, as was configuring the scanning and wireless components. The only complaint thus far is that when the paper comes out of the printer it has a curl to it."

Wireless, laser quality, multi functions, ease of set up

Great Printer!

"Unlike revies I have seen, although I stumbled a little, I was able to figure out how to set up the wireless connection, and I am not an IT professional. The printer works great, and the quality of the printing and the ease of use are great as well....

Not as sturdy as I think it should be

A great laser printer and awhole lot more ...

"I bought this machine to rescue myself from being held ransome by the ever increasing costs of replacement inkjet cartiridges. This is my first laser printer; I did a lot of online research and reading of user feedback before choosing the MFC-7840W. I...

Just about everything so far.

Plastic is a little on the thin side ...but at this price point it's hard to argue.

Product Specifications

There are many ways to manage Brother's range of print servers, either use Brother's BRAdmin32 utility; a standard web browser (for printer control and NIC control) or Hewlett Packard's JetAdmin and Web JetAdmin applications - It's easy to manage your Brother network printer. Brother supports a huge range of protocols as standard which can be disabled easily to reduce possible network bandwidth problems. Each Brother print server is supplied with 1Mbyte of Flash memory which can be upgraded easily as new software releases are announced. Brother's BRAdmin32 utility is designed for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT operating systems. It offers total control of the NIC in an easy-to-use interface. IPX/SPX and TCP/IP communications are catered for. For Novell user's, NDS and Bindery queue configuration is just a few clicks away - you can forget Novell's PCONSOLE and NWADMIN applications for printer configuration.
