Brother MFC-J625DW Review

Brother has been manufacturing multi-functional printers for quite some time now and this time is the release of an exclusive fast printer aimed at small office and home segments—the MFC-J625DW. Let's check out what this MFP has to offer.

To sum up the whole experience with the MFC-J625DW, we assume that the printer is pretty feature rich with the functionalities, print speeds and quality. What we found disappointing is the absence of an Ethernet port for connecting the printer to a...

Brother MFC-J625DW Review: Low-Cost, High-Performance MFP

At $130, the Brother MFC-J625DW color inkjet multifunction printer (print/copy/scan/fax) is a surprisingly good deal for a home or for a very small, low-volume office. It's one of the cheapest color inkjet MFPs we've run across that features automatic...

Automatic two-sided printing ; Two-year warranty ; Affordable

No two-sided scanning

Very small offices or home offices will like the MFC-J625DW's swift speed, duplex printing, and two-year warranty, but paper handling is limited.

Brother MFC-J625DW

The MFC-J625dw can print, copy, scan, and fax. It can fax either from a computer (PC Fax), or work as a standalone fax machine. It has media-card slots for SD and Memory Stick formats, and a port for a USB thumb drive or PictBridge-enabled camera. The...

Fast at business printing. PC Fax. Standalone fax

Slightly sub-par photos and graphics. Lacks an Ethernet port

The Brother MFC-J625dw MFP has a lot to offer a home office or micro office, at a fairly modest price.

Brother MFC-J625DW Review

The Brother MFC-J625DW is an inkjet all-in-one (AIO) with wireless connectivity and a compact form factor.

Quick print speeds ; Simple wireless setup ; Useful control panel with lots of features

Not compatible with some glossy photo paper ; Colors in photos aren't as vibrant and bright ; Inflated advertised print speeds

Nice

In case anyone was confused, this printer connects to the network wireless, meaning if your router/modem supports wi-fi, then any computer or laptop connected to that router/modem (wired or wireless) can connect to the printer. The drivers must also be...

Does everything needed and is really easy to use. Easy and quick to set up multiple computers. Has a sleep mode and automatically wakes up from it when someone wants to print

It's kind of picky about paper and will pull in multiple sheets unless I put high quality paper. Not a huge problem though

13 months fail

Nothing steller about this machine. It appears made well, I guess but today everything looks the same

slow connection with PC ; Scanning software is not good, last CC3 was much better ; print quality is poor ; color quality is poor ; lasted 13 months. My MFC-240 is going strong after four years

Outstanding Wireless Printer

Previously owned an HP OfficeJet 4500g all-in-one. I would have never bought it had I known about this printer.

Touch screen interface, Wireless installation, unit size, paper capacity, Automatic Duplexing! Fax and voice line options are customizable to your application in the event you have MagicJack or similar. Ink refill options are numerous and cost...

Refilling the ink cartridges is not straightforward. The attempted monopoly on inkjets continue as these cartridges are equipped with a chip that "records" when ink runs out. Despite the fact, many of the refillable and continuous fill kits provide the...

Works great with Ubuntu 13.04

Some helpful installation instructions that worked for me. The lpr has to be installed before cupswrapper. Then install the other drivers, I did PCFax second...again lpr before cups. Finally the scanner itself, which requires brscan4. Again this has to...

I got this primarily so I could do scanning and eliminate all paper from the house. This also gives me the capability to print things in color if needed. I have so far scanned about 2000 pages without a single jam, which can't be said for HP ; All...

The installation of the drivers and debian files were a bit painful. You have to save the deb and install them from command line in a certain order
